Countdown Extra: Benson Boone- In The Stars
Last Years #1: Taylor Swift- Mr Perfectly Fine
My Favorite Song Last Year: Regard/ Troye Sivan/ Tate Mcrae- You
#1 recommendation for Hits 1: Zion & Lennox/ Danny Ocean- Brisa

Our First Debut is Move by Dnce. I like this a bit. Joe Jonas sounds good here and I like the production here. I should mention I liked Dancing Feet from earlier this year, too.

Next up is Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga. This is literally Shallow Part 2, except no Bradley Cooper since this is from Top Gun. I can tolerate this, but it's only mediocre. I'm not a huge fan of Lady Gaga but I definitely liked Rain On Me from a couple years ago. But we'll see how Hold My Hand does.

Finally, we have Flowers by Lauren Spencer Smith. After a few weeks of this on Hitbound, I've decided I don't like this. It's way too slow for me, and only on occasion will I like a ballad (looking at you, Benson Boone, because I liked Ghost Town and I currently like In The Stars).  The production feels way too slow and she doesn't sound as good as she did in Fingers Crossed, which I would put in blue. Also, it sounds like she was trying to rip off Traitor by Olivia Rodrigo and Reckless by Madison Beer, both of which I find decent. I couldn't care less how this does.

Best Debut: Dnce- Move.

Hitbound (not including Sunday Bests)

5 Seconds Of Summer- Me, Myself & I (Debut)
Lawrence- Don't Lose Sight
Jack Harlow- Dua Lipa (Debut)
The Chainsmokers- I Love U (Debut)
Ashe- Hope You're Not Happy
Tate Mcrae- What Would You Do (Debut)
Bazzi- Will It Ever Feel The Same (Debut)
Tove Lo- No One Dies From Love
Maneskin- Supermodel (Debut)
Jvke- This Is What Falling In Love Feels Like
Pink Pantheress/ Willow- Where You Are
Benson Boone- In The Stars

Our First debut is Me Myself & I by 5SOS. I generally like these guys but I don't like Complete Mess at the moment. This is fine. He sounds good, and the production is more interesting than in the aforementioned song, but I still prefer G Eazy and Bebe Rexha's song of the same name.

Next up we have a song off Jack Harlow's new album Come Home The Kids Miss You called (and about) Dua Lipa. I was not that sold on it when I first heard the album, but after Mikey Piff explained the lyrics when I listened, I have decided I now like this a little bit. He sounds good, and the production is kind of catchy. My one complaint is that I think that Dua Lipa is dating the dude that her song Love Again is about. Sorry, Jack.

The latest single off The Chainsmokers' new album So Far So Good is up next, I Love U. I have forgotten what this sounds like, but from what I remember, this was solid. I should also mention I liked High from earlier this year a lot, and Ipad and Riptide were not as good.

Tate Mcrae is up next with What Would You Do. This is kind of interesting. Her songs are generally pretty good, and then You was my favorite countdown song from this week 1 year ago to the time Iko Iko by Justin Wellington and Small Jam debuted. As for this new one, I guess I don't really mind, I feel like she's trying to mix Latin and rock here, and going for an Olivia Rodrigo vibe with the lyrics. I hope this can do well.

Up next, we have a new song from Bazzi that is not what I would expect coming from him, as it is kind of slow in the beginning. But he does sound good here. This could grow on me, who knows?

Finally, we have Maneskin's latest, Supermodel. Favorite debut this week. I liked Beggin and Mammamia from last year, too. I really like Damiano David's voice, and I think he sounds good here too. The production is pretty interesting, too. I really hope this debuts.

We lost This Love (Taylor's Version), That's Hilarious, and Words. I guess I'm fine with all of these going, especially the first one.

Blurbs
Our exits were Light Switch, Big Energy, and Weatherman, I'm not about to complain about any of these, they all had good runs.

Why did 10 Things I hate About You jump 9 spots to #20. To clarify, I don't like this. The chorus where she lists everything she hates about her ex gets really repetitive, we get it. Also, the verses have nothing to do with the chorus. I hope this does not stick around after it is the one to watch.

At least First Class is one spot ahead of 10TIHAU. I really like this one. He sounds good throughout, and I like the Fergie sample used in the chorus.

Sunroof is now at #13, I'm glad it's here, it's a good song.

2 Step is now at #6. I really hope this can somehow dethrone our current #1, especially since Shivers spent 14 weeks at #1.

Ugh. And our new #1 is Ass It Was by the infamous Harry F**king Styles. WHY? NO ONE WANTED THIS!!! At least not me. I did not like Adore You, Watermelon Sugar, Falling (but I did like Trevor Daniel's song of the same name), Golden, or Treat People With Kindness, and I was really happy when that last one got blocked from hitting #1. I really hope this gets dethroned soon, because I cannot spend a whole summer with this at #1 the way I had to spend a whole summer with Good 4 U by Olivia Rodrigo at #1 last year.

I guess that is it here, I will see how long I feel like doing these posts, I don't know. But I will see you in my next post, though.
