One Year Anniversary post (Week of 5/13/2023)

Image
Hello everyone, and wow, it's hard to believe I have been doing this for a whole year now, time goes by really quickly. To commemorate, I have recreated four different countdowns from over the years, these being from  September 3rd, 2011 ,  November 11th, 2017 ,  the week the countdown got shortened but if it had 45 songs , and  December 29th, 2012 , as well as reviewing Illenium's self titled album. If you haven't checked any of these out, I highly encourage you to do so. Now on to this week's countdown, I've already covered the songs from when I was off earlier this week. Let's get into it, here are our exits: NF- Happy (#19 last week) Melanie Martinez- Void (#30 last week) Countdown: 30. Luke Combs- Fast Car (Debut) 29. Toosii- Favorite Song (-5) 28. Illenium/ Avril Lavigne/ Travis Barker- Eyes Wide Shut (=) 27. Sza- Snooze (=) 26. Lizzy McAlpine- Ceilings (-6) 25. Miguel- Sure Thing (-4) 24. Niall Horan- Meltdown (+1) 23. Fifty Fifty- Cupid (+3) 22. Harry

My review on Illenium the rapper's self titled album

Hello everyone, today we will be reviewing Illenium the rapper's self titled album. Let's get into it. I first heard of him when he had Takeaway with The Chainsmokers and Lennon Stella, which was quite good. He then had First Time with Iann Dior a couple years later, followed by Story Of My Life with Sueco and Trippie Redd later that year, both of those songs were really good as well. Now, we have the singles off this album, let's begin, using the same format as my other album reviews. 1. Starfall I guess this is just an intro here, it sounds like a classical melody, at least until one minute in. Then it goes for an EDM turn, but there are no vocals here. Ranking: Mediocre 2. All That Really Matters (with Teddy Swims) This one makes more sense. His production makes more sense, and Teddy Swims sounds amazing. Ranking: Great 3. Worst Day (with Max) I feel like he is trying to g o for the same vibe with all of his songs. I like this production here, and I like Max's vocals

Catch up post after Europe trip

Hello everyone, it feels so good to be back after a week in Europe, and every day felt really long even though I had a blast traveling. I opened a thread in the discord about my one year anniversary post for people to ask questions for a one year anniversary page on this blog, that is also where I will be sharing some pictures from the trip. So what will this post look like? It will look like those chart check ins Beluga did for a couple months after he stopped doing weekly posts. Let's get into it Countdown Debuts: David Guetta/ Anne Marie/ Coi Leray- Baby Don't Hurt Me Fifty Fifty- Cupid The Weeknd/ Future- Double Fantasy Illenium/ Avril Lavigne/ Travis Barker- Eyes Wide Shut Crash Adams- Give Me A Kiss Taylor Swift- Karma Morgan Wallen- Last Night Niall Horan- Meltown Sza- Snooze Melanie Martinez- Void Baby Don't Hurt Me is easily my favorite song on here rn. He did a great job producing and the What Is Love sample is executed flawlessly. Cupid is good for Kpop standar
