Our First debut is AJR's latest, I Won't. Like most of AJR's songs, this is pretty good. Jack Met sounds great here per usual and the production is super fun. I hope this is a huge hit.

So next up, Betty by Yung Gravy debuted this week. I really enjoy this one. I like how this samples Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley and I also like how the chorus is to the tune of that song. Yung Gravy also has an interesing accent here, and the song as a whole reminds me a little bit of Jiggle Jiggle by Duke & Jones and Louis Theroux. I hope this does better than that song did.

So I don't think I ever talked about this next song in full before, I Ain't Worried by OneRepublic. It's fine. It's nothing too special but the production is fine and Ryan Tedder sounds great. Although I am wondering why they didn't pick up on You Were Loved with Gryffin from earlier this year.

After dropping out of Hitbound a few weeks ago then spending a couple weeks in the abyss, 2 Be Loved by Lizzo is back. This is fine, it just feels too generic up until the key change, and if the entire song were in A Major, this would be ranked higher than it is. But it's not, so it's just decent.

And saving the best for last, we have Don't You Worry by the Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, and David Guetta debuting at #18. While I was definitely expecting this to debut, I was not expecting it to debut as high as it did. Anyways, I really like this one. David Guetta's production absolutely slaps, and Will.i.am, Apl De Ap, Taboo, and Shakira all sound great here. Overall, it's a super fun song that I desperately want to do well especially given how high it debuted.

Hitbound:
Steve Lacy- Bad Habit
Benny Blanco/ BTS/ Snoop Dogg- Bad Decisions (Debut)
Havanna Winter- Rain Rain Go Away (Debut)
Jax- Victoria's Secret
Calvin Harris/ Charlie Puth/ Shenseea- Obsessed (Debut)
Russ/ Ed Sheeran- Are You Entertained
Leah Kate- Life Sux
Fletcher- Becky's So Hot
Oh No- Drowsy
Dixie- Someone To Blame
Blackbear/ The Used- Toxic Energy (Debut)
Mergui- Sucks To Know You (Debut)
DJ Khaled/ Drake/ Lil Baby- Staying Alive (Debut)
Tate Mcrae- What Would You Do (Re-entry)
Rosa Linn- Snap
Marshmello/ Mae Muller/ Trippie Redd- American Psycho

All right I was not expecting to like this first debut as much as I do, this is Bad decisions by Benny Blanco, BTS, and Snoop Dogg. I generally don't like BTS (except for My Universe with Coldplay from last year and Dynamite actually grew on me after it's run on the hot 100) but this song is pretty good. The four BTS guys on here do pretty well here, and Benny Blanco's production is super cool, but Snoop Dogg's contributions are easily my favorite part. One thing, though: I hope this only does well on Hits 1 and AT40 (if they decide to pick it up) and does not debut at #1 on the hot 100 because I'm super tired of BTS's songs debuting at #1 on the hot 100 although I'm all for a Benny Blanco #1 or a Snoop Dogg #1.

So we have a newcomer up next, Havanna Winter with Rain Rain Go Away. I forget what this sounds like, but I do remember it being slightly slow, but she did sound fine.

Yesterday, Calvin Harris released his album Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2, and I'm glad Hits 1 picked up this track from it, Obsessed with Charlie Puth and Shenseea. I really like this. I like how Charlie Puth is trying to impersonate Panic At The Disco in his parts, but my favorite part is Shenseea's verse, which reminds me a lot of Sean Paul's music, and that's definitely a compliment. I really want this to do well

Next up, we have Blackbear's latest, Toxic Energy with The Used. Wow. This might be the single best Blackbear song I've ever heard. The chorus is super catchy and he sounds great throughout. The Used also delivers a great verse here and I think he fits in super well with the song. Lastly, Barker's production absolutely slaps per usual and the writing is among the best lyrics for a breakup song I've ever heard. I cannot stress enough how much I want this to be a huge hit.

Well I guess these last two songs exist. Next up is Sucks To Know You by Mergui. It's another pop punk breakup song, but Mergui can't sell it as great as Blackbear and The Used could on Toxic Energy. Also, he sounds sort of like Jackson Wang here, and while that's a good thing, I still feel like this song had room for improvement.

Lastly, we have the lead single off DJ Khaled's upcoming album God Did, called Staying Alive with Drake and Lil Baby. I want to lie this more, but I think DJ Khaled could have done better on the production, because Drake and Lil Baby both sound good here. Plus I like the Bee Gees interpolation here. I hope this grows on me.

Lastly, why did What Would You Do by Tate Mcrae re-enter?

We lost TV, Summer Renaissance, Valley Of Lies, Die First, Booty, and Grand. Except for the last two, which I hope are in the abyss, I'm fine with all of them going.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Out Of Time, Boyfriend, Numb Little Bug, First Class, and She Luv Me. I wish Out Of time had not left from #10 because it was still really great despite being slightly old, Boyfriend was definitely getting old, Numb Little Bug finally left after spending a few weeks in the bottom five, and the last two should have peaked higher than they did, with She Luv Me deserving to last longer than it did.

Literally no one likes Glimpse Of Us. Stop trying to make it a thing.

Although I am happy about Easy Lover and Vegas both jumping five spots.

Please stop trying to make So Good a thing, I was especially disappointed that I had to hear this immediately after Don't You Worry this week.

I guess this is 2 Step's last week.

Potion continues to make a rebound, which is good to see.

Also, I am happy about Left And Right in the top 10.

However, I am super mad that Running Up That Hill got a 12 spot jump up to #8. This is way too old and there are better songs that actually came out in 2022 that deserve to be higher than this.

Literally the only song that held on to its spot was I Like You by Post Malone and Doja Cat. Hopefully this makes the top 5 next week.

Supermodel is now Maneskin's highest peaking song at #6, For reference, Beggin peaked at #8.

And lastly, Harry the clown is back at #1 with Late Night Toppling. Are you fucking kidding me right now? This was not even as big as Ass It Was on Billboard, it's only up here because of all the Harry stans doing the surveys. Do better, Hits 1.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
