Recommendations for Hits 1: Juice Wrld- In My Head and Gryffin/ Elley Duhe- Forever
Our first debut comes from newcomer Charlie On A Friday with his song Enough. This is pretty good. This reminds me of Post Malone's music a little bit (although it sounds like Wrapped Around Your Finger to be specific) as Charlie On A Friday actually sounds a bit like Post Malone here and it has cool production. I'm totally fine with this being here.
What I'm less fine with being here, however, is Anti Hero by Taylor Swift. I'm glad this didn't debut in the top 15 like Willow and Love Story (Taylor's Version) both did, but I'd be better if this wasn't here at all. Yeah, I don't like this at all. It's another completely overrated Taylor Swift song that I've already heard various times throughout the past week. Sure, it has cool production, but I'm completely unable to like any Taylor Swift music. I hope this flops hard.
Lastly, Calm Down by Rema and Selena Gomez re-entered five spots higher than it peaked before it left last week. Great to see it back.
Hitbound
Quinn XCII/ Big Sean- Common
Rihanna- Lift Me Up (Debut)
Cheat Codes/ Russell Dickerson- I Remember

Dove Cameron- Bad Idea (Debut)
Sabrina Carpenter- Nonsense
Mazie- Dumb Dumb
Benson Boone- Before You (Debut)
Waterparks/ Blackbear- Love About It

Kenzie- 100 Degrees
Rosa Linn/ Duncan Laurence- WDIA
I think I got a bit too excited when I found out Rihanna was releasing a new song for the Black Panther Wakanda Forever soundtrack. We haven't had any new Rihanna music in a long time, and I liked both Pray For Me by The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar and All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and Sza from the first Black Panther film. This new song, Lift Me Up, is not that at all. It's pretty slow throughout. She sounds good here, and it's in a tolerable key. But I was 100% expecting a lot more.
Well guys, whether you wanted this to happen or not, Charli D'Amelio, Dixie's younger sister, has started making music. And Hits 1 of course picked up on Charli's debut single If You Ask Me To. This is also pretty slow but decent. I think she sounds better than her older sister, and the production does evolve. I 100% think Hits 1 needs to stop picking up on anyone with the last name D'Amelio.
Ok, finally, some upbeat music. It's from Meghan Trainor, who hasn't been on Hits 1 since Nice To Meet Ya with Nicki Minaj in 2020. This song is called Made You Look, and it's really good. She sounds great here and the production gives off the vibes of what she was putting out in 2014-2015. The song is also in my happy key of Bb major, so it's guaranteed to be good. I hope this is a hit.
Up next is more Dove Cameron, this is called Bad Idea. I like this one quite a bit as well. It sounds like a more upbeat version of Boyfriend from earlier this year, and in case you are new here, I liked that song. Like her other two songs, this new one kind of gives off Billie Eilish vibes, and I mean this as a compliment. I hope this can debut.
Well, our first two debuts this week were less than average ballads, since Rihanna and Charli D'Amelio can't really sell them well, but if anyone can sell a ballad well, it's Benson Boone, whose new song Before You is now on Hitbound. Like his other two ballads, Ghost Town and In The Stars, this is pretty good. He has an amazing accent here, and the production evolves pretty well, especially at the end. I'm totally fine with this being here.
So Becky Hill is now on Hits 1. She brings us Remember with David Guetta, which, according to Zestpond, came out a year ago (as in before My Heart Goes with Topic, Run with Galantis, and History with Joel Corry), so it might be a Tiktok thing like World's Smallest Violin, which is also from last year. I think this is pretty good. David Guetta did a great job with the production per usual, and Becky Hill sounds amazing like she always does. Although it is a year old, I still hope they don't fuck this over.
And saving the best for last, we have the Black Eyed Peas' latest song Simply The Best with Anitta and El Alfa, the latter of which is making his first appearance on Hits 1. Wow. This deserves the 6/5 incredible tier in my opinion, which I have not used yet. It's that good. The production from DJ Ammo is just pure amazing, El Alfa, Will.i.am, Apl De Ap, and Taboo absolutely SLAY on their verses, and the hook from Will.i.am and Anitta is way too catchy for me to not enjoy. I have never wanted a song to be a hit more than this.
We lost The Loneliest, Celestial (again), Sex Drugs Etc, Best Friends (again), Hot All The Time, and Edging. The first three are in the abyss, so hopefully Celestial debuts next week and I could not care enough about whether Sex Drugs Etc or The Loneliest debut or not. Best Friends and Hot All The Time were good, but I was never fully expecting them to debut. But did they seriously have to get rid of Edging? That was a great song that deserved to debut the countdown as it was supposed to be Blink 182's big comeback single yet Hits 1 treated it as just a regular song by someone else. I'd rant a lot more about this if Simply The Best did not debut.
Blurbs:
Our exits were Betty, Pink Vomit, and Uh Oh. All of these underperformed on here, though with Pink Vomit, it's no real surprise as I have seen that people hate it even though I personally liked it.
Late Night Toppling seriously needs to go the fuck away already.
Until I Found You's run just keeps getting weirder, despite the song still being good.
So Boring fell hard. Good. Please get the fuck out of here next week.
I guess Sleepwalking is officially All Time Low's comeback single, it's now in the top 20.
Golden Hour is also in the top 20. Ok cool, why couldn't This Is What Falling In Love Feels Like have done this well?
Bad Habit and Super Freaky Girl have returned to the top 20. W for both.
Numb and I Like You are likely on their way out, they both fell six spots.
No why did Hold Me Closer fall five spots? This needs to rebound!
Unholy, Star Walkin, and Million Dollar Baby all entered the top 10 this week. W for all three.
AYY LET'S GO, I'm Good is now at #3!
So 2 Be Loved held on for a second week in a row. It's definitely grown on me since it hit #1 and I'm glad it's blocking Music For a Sushi Restaurant and I hope that can continue, but I'd much rather I'm Good hit #1 next week.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
YES CELESTIAL IS IN THE ABYSS WOOOOOOOOOO
