A messed up week controlled by every Taylor Swift fan ever (Week of 11/19/2022)

Hello everyone, welcome back to another countdown post. Couple announcements, I will be doing two rankdowns coming up, one of which is for my Apple Music Replay for 2022, that should be out in a couple of weeks, and I will also be doing the countdown extras rankdown again this year, but that won't be out until January 2023. This week was moderately questionable as we had no debuts and two re-entries, and I have way too much to say about our new #1. All right, here are the songs that left this week:

Harry Styles- Late Night Toppling (#25 last week)

My Favorite Song Last Year: Drake/ Future/ Young Thug- Way 2 Sexy
My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: G Eazy/ Blackbear- Hate The Way
#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Seeb/ Alexander Stewart- Would You Lie

We had no debuts this week, but both Sleepwalking by All Time Low and Uh Oh by Tate Mcrae re-entered. I'm glad to see both of them back, especially Sleepwalking, as it has grown on me a lot since it left last week.

Hitbound
Sabrina Carpenter- Nonsense
Louis Tomlinson- Silver Tongues
Regard/ Drop G- No Love For You
Isabel Larosa- I'm Yours (Debut)

Benson Boone- Before You

I need to explain something for those that aren't on the Discord: So on the Discord, we have a channel called Artist Spotlight Of The Day, where Daniel posts about a new up and coming artist every day, this started two weeks ago. The first of these songs he posted about was this first Hitbound debut, I'm Yours by Isabel Larosa. Gonna be honest, this is beeter than what I expected it to be. She sounds great here and it's somewhat upbeat. This is definitely not something I will be revisiting much.

Kim Petras makes her third appearence on Hits 1 after Heart To Break from 2018 and Unholy, this is called If Jesus Was A Rockstar. This is kind of cool. It has cool production and she sounds good. Not much else to say here.

It looks as though Hits 1 picked up on one of my recommendations from last week, Sober by Jxdn.  I liked Jxdn's other songs that made Hits 1, especially Angels & Demons from two years ago and Wanna Be with MGK from last year, and this new song is also really good. Jxdn has a great voice in my opinion, and this has great production courtesy of Barker. I want this to do well here.

Next up, Hits 1 picked up on Nicky Youre's follow up to Sunroof, Eyes On You. Wow. This is better than Sunroof. It does sound like that song, but with more interesting melodies and Nicky Youre sounds better on here. I want this to be a huge hit on here, and since I heard it's supposed to get a radio deal, I think I will be right.

Ok, this next song is kind of interesting... this is Tukoh Taka by Nicki Minaj, Maluma, and someone named Myriam Fares. Apparently this is on the soundtrack for the Fifa World Cup 2022. All right. I like Nicki Minaj's verse here. I feel like Maluma's verse was supposed to be done by El Alfa or someone along those lines. And then Myriam Fares does the rest of the song and her hook is some weird chant. I'll take this song overall.

AJR is back with a new song called The DJ is Crying For Help. This is fine. It's slower than their typical songs, but still upbeat, and Jack Met sounds good per usual, plus I like the violins used here. I'm totally fine with this being on the countdown if that happens.

Lastly, we have newcomer Lila Drew with her song Used To. This is interesting. It sounds something like Don't Miss Me by Claire Rosinkranz from earlier this year. Although the chorus is pretty cool, and she has an interesting accent. Nothing too memorable though.

We lost 10:35, Never Gonna Not Dance Again, If You Ask Me To, Narcissist, and Hollywood Forever. 10:35 is the latest EDM song they fucked over this year, Never Gonna Not Dance Again was supposed to be Pink's comeback single, but they treated as a normal song by someone else. If You Ask Me To is unfortunately in the abyss, but of course since Charli D'Amelio is Dixie's younger sister, #ofcourseitsnotgoingtodebut. Good riddance to Narcissist, it was really bad, and with Hollywood Forever gone, this is the first weekend since July 30th without a Havanna Winter song on Hitbound. Took too long if you ask me.

Blurbs
Our exits were Late Night Toppling (finally) and Numb. It was time for Late Night Toppling to leave long ago, and Numb was also starting to get pretty old, so I'm fine with both of these.

What's Hits 1's issue with Calm Down. It's at #30 yet again this week.

Is Billie Eilish ever going to do anything on here?

Is So Boring ever going to leave?

Oof on Super Freaky Girl falling hard.

I'm A Mess climbed off its debut. Ok cool.

Ugh. Why did Snap climb five spots off its previous peak? This cannot make the top 15.

Ok at least Hold Me Closer got a slight rebound

Other than that, nothing too interesting in the top 15 except the new #1.

And now for the moment you've been waiting for.

NO! WHY! THIS REALLY DID NOT NEED TO HAPPEN! But with the insane number of Taylor Swift stans doing the surveys, Anti Hero HAD to hit #1 this week, dethroning Unholy after only one week. This is fucking ridiculous how the goddamn Taylor Swift stans are going nuts over this album more than they did every other album of hers. It annoys the hell out of me that the entire fucking top 10 of the hot 100 a couple weeks ago was songs off that album, and this song in particular is especially annoying because it looks as though she's trying to manipulate the billboard charts by releasing various remixes with Bleachers, Illenium, etc. so the song stays #1 for way too fucking long and prevents anything off Drake & 21 Savage's collab album from hitting #1 even though those two deserve the #1 spot on Billboard so much more? This is fucking ridiculous under all circumstances. Oh, and did I hear that various Taylor Swift stans broke Ticketmaster by ordering tickets to her upcoming tour at a rate that is way too fucking alarming for a concert tour? Yes, I unfortunately did. IT'S A FUCKING ORDINARY CONCERT TOUR, JACKASSES! TREAT IT AS SUCH INSTEAD OF TRYING TO BREAK TICKETMASTER! Now if I need to rebuild the Infinity Gauntlet from Infinity War and Endgame and snap Taylor Swift and her annoying af fanbase out of existence, show me how to do that because I would gladly do that if it were the only way I can make her music not dominate the charts and let songs like Unholy, I'm Good, Bad Habit, any song off Her Loss, or literally any great song top the charts instead. Now as for Anti Hero being #1 on Hits 1, this obviously cannot break Shivers's record for most songs at #1 because there are like a million other songs that deserve the #1 spot infinitely more. To Hits 1 and literally every Taylor Swift stan, FUCK YOU, THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT. Ok, rant over.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
