What made less sense, unpredictable upsets or certain movement this week? You decide. (Week of 3/18/2023)

Hello everyone, and I'm sorry on being late on this again, I got busy watching March Madness games over the weekend, and couldn't listen to HB at all, but I have found some time today to do it, so let's just get into it. Here are the songs that left:

Sam Smith/ Calvin Harris/ Jessie Reyez- I'm Not Here To Make Friends (#12 last week)

My Favorite Song Last Year: ENCANTO- We Don't Talk About Bruno
My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Maroon 5/ Megan Thee Stallion- Beautiful Mistakes
#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Regard/ Ella Henderson- No Sleep

Our first debut comes from Meghan Trainor, this is called Mother. I liked Charlie Puth's song of the same title from a few years ago, but this is definitely better. It has cool production and she sounds amazing throughout. I want this to be huge.

And next up, we have a track off Miley Cyrus's Endless Summer Vacation album called River. This is better than Flowers but definitely not as good as Eminem and Ed Sheeran's song of the same title. She sounds better than on some of her other songs, and I like the production here, it is almost EDM. Marked improvement over what else she put out in 2023.

Hitbound
Beabadoobee- Glue Song

Benson Boone- Sugar Sweet
Taylor Swift- All Of The Girls You Loved Before (Debut)
Halsey- Bells In Sants Fe (Debut)
Big Boss Vette- Pretty Girls Walk
All Time Low- Calm Down (Debut)
Lewis Capaldi- How I'm Feeling Now (Debut)
Mimi Webb- Freezing

Jvke- This Is What Losing Someone Feels Like (Debut)
Nicki Minaj- Red Ruby Da Sleeze (Debut)
Lizzy McAlpine- Ceilings
Nicky Youre- Found
Sabrina Carpenter- Feather (Debut)
Patrick Martin- Dandelion Eyes

Tori Kelly. There's a name I haven't heard in a while. She is here with Missin U, and this pretty good. Tori Kelly has a great singing voice and I am a fan of this kind of production. Really catchy song.

Jesus Christ, did Taylor Swift just drop four previously unreleased songs last week? Yes, and I wish she hadn't, or at least gave us advance warning that she was doing so. So one of these songs debuts this week, this is All Of The Girls You Loved Before, and what do you know, it's bad. To be honest, Lover spawned one of her only two good songs, Me with Panic At The Disco, but this another generic Taylor Swift song and it is slow. So yeah, this has no business being here.

The music departments for big TV shows need to stop adding old songs to their soundtracks so those songs don't blow up long after their release. First, we had Running Up That Hill, then Bloody Mary, now this next track, Bells in Santa Fe by Halsey. This is better than the two aforementioned songs, but not by much. She sounds fine but I'm not wowed by anything on here. Now I'm not watching the show You as a result.

Last week, All Time Low put out a new album, and we have a song off it called Calm Down. This is an amazing song. Alex Gaskarth sounds nothing short of amazing here, and I like the production, which is somewhat different from what they normally do. I'd like for this to be a huge hit.

Next, we have more Lewis Capaldi, this is called How I'm Feeling Now. He's done worse ballads before, but this is surprisingly tolerable. It has a guitar riff but that works surprisingly well with his voice. It's not as good as Pointless though, but I can take it.

Is This Is What _______ Feels Like Jvke's catchphrase or something like that? I guess so, We had This Is What Falling In Love Feels Like, This Is What Heartbreak Feels Like, and now This Is What Losing Someone Feels Like. This is not that bad, but the lyrics could hit a bit hard here, especially since he put a good amount of emotion into his voice here. The production evolves throughout  the song a good bit. But he has a song with Illenium out this coming week, and I'm sure this could be replaced with that...

We have another Nicki Minaj song out called Red Ruby Da Sleeze. This is interesting. It has some super cool production and Nicki Minaj's flow here is on point. Super fun song.

Lastly, we have a new Sabrina Carpenter song called Feather. This is a fun bop. She does an amazing job vocally and this song has amazing production. This is easily one of Sabrina Carpenter's best songs.

We lost Next To You, Miracle, No Bad Days, and Bruises. PLEASE STOP FUCKING OVER EDM SONGS SHITS 1! Then No Bad Days is in the abyss, so hopefully it debuts next week, and Bruises is starting to fade on me, so I'm fine with that going.

Blurbs
Our exits were I'm Not Here To Make Friends and Been Thinking. Both of these were quite good and should have lasted longer on here.

I've decided I quite like Cinderella Snapped now. The whole song just makes more sense than Victoria's Secret, and the key and production give off the vibes of Holiday by Green Day.

All right, Die 4 Me is jumping five spots per week these days, and could jump to #15 next week, if this pattern continues.

Could Weapons just leave already?

Made You Puke might be on its way out. I'd be fine with that, especially since Mother is here.

Enough also finally fell out of the top 10, I wouldn't be surprised if this left in the coming weeks.

Ugh. Escapism climbed another two spots. We don't need this in the top 10 next week.

Nobody Gets Me, which has been lacking in airplay recently, fell five spots and was replaced in the top 5 by Kill Bill. Huge W.

Heaven got the biggest jump up to #7, which is no surprise. If this is what is needed to dethrone Flowers, I'll take it. But I would love if 10:35 got to #1 first.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
