*EDM duo comprised of Sam Feldt the rapper and Jonas Blue the rapper
Our first debut comes from NF, his new song Happy is here. I still haven't decided if this is better than Pharrell's song of the same title, but it is pretty good. It has a different format than some of his other songs, but this one still works. He does a great job here and I like the production, so yeah, solid song.
Our other debut is Waffle House by the Jonas Brothers, and this is really good. They all sound amazing and their voices go really well with the production, plus the song is in Bb major. Yeah, I want this to be huge.

Post Malone- Chemical (Debut)

Charlie On A Friday/ Lil Tjay- Same Friends
Lauren Spencer-Smith/ Gayle/ Em Beihold- Fantasy (Debut)
Jessie Murph- Where Do You Go
Lewis Capaldi- Wish You The Best (Debut)

David Guetta/ Anne Marie/ Coi Leray- Baby Don't Hurt Me
Based on what everyone has been saying about this first debut, I was really expecting to hate it. So Never Felt So Alone by Labrinth and Billie Eilish is here. And I don't hate this that much. There is a beat to this unlike I'm Tired, which was quite bad if you're new here. He sounds a lot better here than I'm Tired and Billie Eilish sounds good too. It is still slow, though, so I don't think I'll ever be sold on this, but it is not as bad as I was expecting it to be, which is a shock.
This next debut is exactly the opposite. It's from Post Malone, this is called Chemical, and I was expecting it to be better than this. I don't think he goes well with this beat. It's also in a key that I'm not sold on, and it gets a little bit repetitive (although not Bitch Got A Penis by Your Favorite Martian level repetitive). I know he can do better, and I hope he does.
JP Saxe makes his third appearance on Hits 1 with his new song I Don't Miss You. Of course, three years ago, he had If The World Was Ending with Julia Michaels, which I liked. Then he had Soft Landing, which was not as good. Then we have this, which is his best so far. The production here is rlly similar to that of Time Bomb by The Chainsmokers and Chloe George from last year, which is also a great song. Also, JP Saxe does a great job here vocally. Glad this is here.
Next up, we have Maisie Peters making her Hits 1 debut with Lost The Breakup. I have heard the name from Waffle and Hunter's charts, now I'm listening to her music for the first time. This is a fine first impression of her, she sounds pretty good here and I like the production, but there is something about this that I'm not entirely feeling. We shall see if this ends up growing on me or not.
Oh boy. Melanie Martinez, whom my younger sister has liked in the past, is now on Hits 1 with her song Void. This is the second debut that sounds like a TCS song, as this sounds like Roses at the beginning. Then as we get further into the song, it sounds more original. Also, she sounds like a British Tate Mcrae mixed with a little bit of Lauren Spencer-Smith here. I'm totally okay with this on here.
And Speaking of Lauren Spencer-Smith, next up, she brings us Fantasy with Gayle and Em Beihold, both of whom I have better track records with than her. This is super cool. The verses sound like Industry Baby by Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow, and the chorus gives off the vibes of Praying by Kesha but if that song was better. The Melodies are amazing here, and they all sound really good. Let this be a follow up for all three of them please.
Next up, we have more Lewis Capaldi, this is called Wish You The Best. I'm callin it, this is essentially a better version of Someone You Loved. It evolves fine and he sounds pretty good, it's honestly quite forgettable.
Well shit. This is not how I wanted Kelly Clarkson to make her return to music. This is called me. Taylor Swift and Panic At The Disco's song of the same title is one of only two songs in Taylor Swift's entire Discography that I like, but it's still saying something that that is leagues better than what we have today. It is another ballad, but there is a sudden tempo change at the end. I am honestly expecting her next song to be upbeat.
I'm not sure how they choose which songs from artists they like picking up on every song from. For example, Older by Steve Aoki, Dixie, and Jimmie Allen, which is easily my favorite Dixie song, is not here, but Bazzi's new song Eyes is. But this is quite good too. It gives off the vibes of his 2019 song Paradise, and he sounds really good. You do you, Hits 1.
Lastly, we have a new Drake song called Search & Rescue, even though none of the two hit songs off Her Loss (Rich Flex and Spin Bout U) got picked up. This is fine. At least it's not an EDM song this time, unlike the non Jimmy Cooks tracks off Honestly Nevermind. He sounds good and the production is cool, it's just forgettable.
We lost Give Me A Kiss, Self Love, Kaleidoscope, Favorite Song, How I'm Feeling Now, AM:PM, Calm Down, What It Is, and Fumd, with the first two being in the abyss. Kaleidoscope was bad, so good riddance to that. Favorite Song and How I'm Feeling Now were good but forgettable. The last four, however, really should have debuted, although I was the only one who liked Fumd.
Blurbs
Our exits were Wings and Too Well. Wings got replaced by Waffle House, which is a lot better, and I'm not sure what the point of Too Well re-entering pretty high was if it was not going to do anything.
Ok then. Sure thing jumping. I hope this doesn't get too annoying, like most old music going viral years later.
Of course I'm happy about That's Not How This Works getting a big jump off its debut. Such a vibe, you know.
Man, Thank God just doesn't know what the fuck to do.
Oof on I'm In Love With You's four spot drop. Hopefully, this rebounds next week before I leave.
I thought for sure Eyes closed would be top 5. But it fell three spots instead. Maybe next week, then.
Love Again is now The Kid Laroi's third top 10 hit on here after Without You and Stay. I'm fine with this for now.
OK, Escapism cannot make the top 5 next week. If it does, we will have some serious fucking problems.
And that's about it, the entire top 5 from last week held their respective spots from last week. I guess that does it then, see you guys next week.
