Jesus Christ, haven't we had enough old music already? Well, we have a 13 year old song from Miguel on here called Sure Thing. I liked his song Don' Forget My Love with Diplo from last year, as well as his song Remind Me To Forget with Kygo from 2018. And then we have this. It's better than most annoying old music going viral on Tiktok, but that doesn't mean it's great. I think Miguel sounds fine and it has some interesting production, but I can't get behind that it's 13 years old, plus, it feels a bit too long. Maybe we don't need this to be a hit.
Thankfully, we have Charlie Puth and Dan + Shay's new song from last week, That's Not How This Works. This one is really fun. Both Charlie Puth and whoever is doing the vocals on Dan + Shay sound amazing. This has really cool production, though it's not that interesting at the beginning. Amazing song, I hope this can do well.
What I hope does not do well, however, is this last debut. It's from none other than Taylor Swift and her song All Of The Girls You Loved Before. And yes, it's not good at all. It's just like every other Taylor Swift song (that isn't Me or I Don't Wanna Live Forever), except it's a fucking ballad. So take everything I hate about Taylor Swift music with everything I hate about ballads, and nothing works. So yeah, I hope this doesn't last.

Our first debut comes from the Jonas Brothers, this is called Waffle House. This is really Cool. It's in Bb major, so that makes me guaranteed to like it at this point if A. The production is upbeat, or B. It's not by Harry Styles or Taylor Swift. This falls into both categories, so it's really good. Also, both Joe and Nick sound great. I hope they perform this on SNL this weekend.
Then it gets a lot better, because David Guetta has released a follow up to I'm Good called Baby Don't Hurt Me with Anne Marie and Coi Leray, and it samples What Is Love by Haddaway, which I did as a stand tunes short in marching band all four years of High School. H o l y c r a p. This is amazing. He did an amazing job on the production per usual, and the What Is Love sample was executed flawlessly. Anne Marie sounds amazing on this, and I really like Coi Leray's verse. I really want this to become as huge as I'm Good was.
Oh goodie. More Avery Anna. I was hoping she would not be back after the disaster that was Narcissist. But alas, her new song Self Love is here. It's better than Narcissist but not by a whole lot. The main reason is it is more upbeat, but that's really all I remember about it at the moment. It's super forgettable, and I hope this is the last of her I hear for a while.
I haven't heard any new NF in a while, but today, he brings us Happy. I liked his songs Let You Down and Lie from 2018, and Time from 2019. Just Like You was not as good, but still pretty cool. As for this new song, I'm not ready to go and compare it to Pharrell's song of the same title just yet, since I have forgotten what it sounds like, although I do remember it not having the same format as his other songs. I just need to listen to it more.
Our final debut is What It Is by Doechii and Kodak Black, who makes his second appearance on here after Wasted, which I am still really enjoying. And this is pretty good too, though definitely not as funny as Wasted. Doechii sounds amazing throughout, and I like Kodak Black's verse here. Cool song.
We lost Call On Me, This Is What Losing Someone Feels Like, Pretty Girls Walk, and Dandelion Eyes. I'm fine with all of these, Call On Me wasn't that great, This Is What Losing Someone Feels Like had too many emotions on it, especially compared to With All My Heart, and both Pretty Girls Walk and Dandelion Eyes have been here a bit too log even though I am still enjoying the former.
Blurbs
Our exits were Missin U, This Is What Heartbreak Feels Like, and Red Flags. Missin U is in the abyss, so it could be back in the future. I liked This Is What Heartbreak Feels Like, but he has better songs in his discography, like the two EDM songs he recently did (Hero and With All My Heart). And Red Flags was fading on me, so I'm fine with that leaving.
I'm quite surprised River dropped. I thought this would peak higher given how huge the album is.
Not sure Ceilings needs to be a thing rn.
Wings might be on its way out and could be replaced with Waffle House next week.
Why did Love From The Other Side drop? This should continue climbing.
Bloody Mary is finally out of the top 10. Good. Continue dropping.
Wow. Eyes Closed made a huge jump. I'm interested to see this vs Heaven for #1 in the future.
Ok why did Escapism have to rebound into the top 10 though? I don't need this here.
Lottery is now at #2. It would be interesting to see this hit #1 before Heaven and/ or Eyes Closed. We shall see how any of that happens.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
