#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Metro Boomin/ Swae Lee/ Lil Wayne/ Offset- Annihilate

So first up, The Weeknd replaces himself with Popular with Madonna and Playboi Carti. This is nowhere near as good as that song, but still fine. It could have been in a better key, and Playboi Carti should have been on here for longer, it's mostly The Weeknd and Madonna. This could grow on me, but it's unlikely. But who knows?

Void, Happy, and I Know It Won't Work all re-entered this week. My opinions on the first one and the last one all remain the same, but Happy grew on me a decent bit since it left. Hopefully, it lasts fairly long on here this time.

Now back to debuts. We have the latest single off the Jonas Brothers' album The Album called Summer Baby. This is quite good. It feels like a really good summer song and they sound really good here. I hope this is a hit.

Lastly, we have a new OneRepublic song called Runaway. This is pretty good, though I still don't find it as good as I do Ye and Pusha T's song of the same title from 2010. Ryan Tedder sounds pretty good and I like the production. Good song.

Hitbound:
Ice Spice/ Nicki Minaj- Princess Diana
Niall Horan- If You Leave Me (Debut)
Kali- Area Codes (Re-entry)
Shawn Mendes- What The Hell Are We Dying For (Debut)
Ed Sheeran- A Beautiful Game
Pitbull/ Lil Jon- Jumpin
Sam Smith/ Madonna- Vulgar (Debut)
Nicky Youre- Good Times Go
Jimin/ Jvke/ Muni Long/ Kodak Black/ Nle Choppa- Angel Part 1
Pink Pantheress- Angel (Debut)
Jessie Murph/ Maren Morris- Dumb Ol Stupid Texas (Debut)
Bailey Bryan- Iykyk (Debut)
Doechii- What It Is (Debut/ Re-entry)
Madison Beer- Home To Another One (Debut)
Lil Durk/ J Cole- All My Life (Debut)
Crash Adams- Lucky

Wow. We have 10 songs to go over, plus Area Codes re-entering. First up, Niall Horan released The Show yesterday, and from it, we have If You Leave Me. I'm pretty sure he is releasing the title track as a single, but Hits 1 picked up on this instead. It's fine, but quite forgettable. He does a pretty good job here, but that's all I can remember.

On Thursday morning, Shawn Mendes woke up. He had no plans to release music the following day. About five hours later, he went to his studio and wrote a song that he made in one hour. He then announced the release of that song for midnight that night, and now it's here on Hitbound, it's called What The Hell Are We Dying For, and contradictory to its title, it's about his second breakup with Camila Cabello rather than the Canadian wildfires. This song is fine. He sounds pretty good and I like the production, it's just pretty forgettable. I feel like if this debuts the countdown, I can form a more solid opinion.

We have a interesting song from Sam Smith and Madonna up next, this is called Vulgar. People have said this sounds like Unholy Part 2, and I can sort of see that. And wow, they can both rap. That's a shocker. Also, the production is almost EDM type. Almost another shocker, but then you remember that Sam Smith previously had Promises with Calvin Harris in 2018. So overall, this is such a cool song.

Next up, Pink Pantheress put out a song for the Barbie movie soundtrack called Angel. Interesting how we have two soundtrack songs on here called Angel (the other one being Angel Part 1 by Jimin, Jvke, Muni Long, Kodak Black, and Nle Choppa). This song is not as good as that one. I still think Pink Pantheress has a good singing voice, and it's over cool production. So I would say this is better than Where You Are from last year but not as good as Boy's A Liar Part 2. I just need to hear it more.

Oh great. More Jessie Murph. Today, she brings us Dumb Ol Stupid Texas with Maren Morris. Yes, I know the title is just Texas, but I'm paying homage to a classic Spongebob meme from the episode Texas, plus this is a Jessie Murph song after all. Except... it's actually pretty good. Yeah. So Jessie Murph sounds a lot better than in previous songs I've heard from her, and Maren Morris sounds pretty good too. I also like the production on here more than on some of her other songs too. So this could be my favorite song from her.

I think we remember Bailey Bryan from her Hitbound dropout with 24kgoldn called MF from last year. I do, and I thought it was pretty good. Today, she brings us Iykyk, and this is also pretty good. I think she sounds pretty good here and I like the production on this. Catchy tune.

So earlier this year, the remix of What It Is by Doechii that featured Kodak Black debuted, and today, the original What It Is debuts. I like this, but not really as much as I do the version with Kodak Black, I just have better tolerability for his music than half the community. Doechii still does a good job here, and the production is still pretty cool. So I'll take it.

Just two more, I promise. Next up, Madison Beer is back for the first time since Reckless dropped out of Hitbound, with an actually interesting song called Home To Another One. Unfortunately, the only thing I remember about this is that it is upbeat, and she sounds good per usual. I will need to hear this one again before forming a more solid opinion.

Lastly, we have All My Life by Lil Durk and J Cole on here, with J Cole making his Hits 1 debut. This one is really good. I like whatever sample was used in the chorus, and both of them deliver solid verses on here. I'm glad this is a hit on the hot 100, and I hope it is a hit here.

We lost Middle Ground, Hell N Back, Self Destruction Mode, Haven't You Ever Been In Love Before, Wild Heart, and Nevermind. The first two are in the abyss, so they will probably debut next week. I'm not sure Self Destruction Mode is gone for good either, as it was the extra this week. And as for the last three, I was never too sold on them, so I'm fine with them going.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Alone, Cinderella Snapped, Double Fantasy, Last Night, 10:35, and Thank God. I thought those first two would drop a little bit before leaving, and in the case of Alone, lasted a bit longer. But at least Cinderella Snapped tried to do better than its infinitely worse predecessor. Double Fantasy and Last Night got robbed and should have done better on here. And both 10:35 and Thank God had pretty good runs, and 10:35 especially had a very good run for an EDM song.

What a relief that Satellite hasn't cracked the top 20 after 5 weeks. I hope this continues to flop.

That Part and Dance The Night got huge jumps off their debuts last week. Dance The Night has grown on me the past week, and I'm still liking That Part, so woohoo on both.

I guess Lottery is on its way out. But it has had a good run on here.

Nice to see Baby Don't Hurt Me rebounding.

Give Me A Kiss, Jaded, and Cupid entered the top 10 for the first time, I'm more happy about the first one than the other two.

And now for the moment you've all been waiting for.

NO! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCKING FUCK, SHITS 1?!? No, I'm completely fucking serious here. We really did not need Karma by Taylor Swift and Ice Spice to hit #1 at fucking all. It is yet another annoying song off the most fucking overrated album ever, which she has made a deluxe version to just to make it more fucking overrated. The Taylor Swift stanning these days has gotten completely out of hand. It makes no fucking sense that cities where she is taking the eras tour to are embracing her arrivals by renaming themselves after anything to do with her, making her the mayor for the day, or radio stations from those cities changing the music they play to just her music... that last one makes no goddamn sense. Radio stations need to play music that everyone likes, and not everyone likes Taylor Fucking Swift. These cities aren't doing this to Ed Sheeran when he brings his Mathematics Tour to them. And sadly, I see that Taylor Swift is performing at fucking Paycor Stadium on June 30th and July 1st. I swear to god, if the city of Cincinnati does anything similar to what these other cities are doing, we are going to have some major fucking problems. Oh, and do I see that Cruel Summer, which is from her album Lover, which is FROM FUCKING 2019, is going viral on Tiktok? Yes I do. If there is two brands of music I severly hate the shit out of, it's Taylor Swift music and old songs that go viral on Tiktok, and now Cruel Summer falls into both categories. And since Hits 1 has actually started playing Cruel Summer now, it's on the airplay updates and the surveys, this could be on the fucking countdown in a few weeks time, and I'm hoping it just stays in the fucking abyss and loses airplay entirely. And what's completely fucking worse is that all of the stans are claiming it is the best fucking song of all time rn, whether it's the only song that matters or it needs to be blasted everywhere. Well guess what? That just makes me hate the song even fucking more. And I'm not finished listing evidence that Taylor Swift is the most fucking overrated artist of all fucking time. Yeah, she's dropping yet another re-recorded album, this time, it's Speak Now Taylor's Version. Worse, she's dropping it one week after Lil Uzi Vert is set to drop their highly anticipated album Pink Tape. Let me assure you guys, even though neither album is out yet, Pink Tape should be the center of attention for more than one week. Here's the saddest part about Speak Now Taylor's Version: it has collaborations from Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams. I thought Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams knew better than to feature on Taylor Swift songs, but I was mistaken. I also wish Kendrick Lamar knew better than to feature on Bad Blood, that Future knew better than to feature on End Game, and that Ice Spice knew better than to feature on Karma. Well at least Ice Spice has hit #1 on here, but it really should have been any other song from her, such as Boy's A Liar Part 2. So for the last time, Fuck you Shits 1, and fuck you, Taylor Swift stans. Ok rant over.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
