So first up we have Jungkook and Latto woth Seven. This has grown on me since last week. Jungkook sounds really good on here and I like Latto's verse. It also has great production. Also, the lyrics are really similar to those of Saturday/ Sunday by Jason Derulo and David Guetta from earlier this year. I hope this jumps huge next week.
Daylight by David Kushner re-entered. I wonder how the server would react if it actually jumped 27 spots to #1 next week.
Really, guys? What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish is the song off the Barbie soundtrack that debuts the countdown the day after the movie comes out? God, I don't know anymore. Anyways, What Was I Made For is my least favorite song off the Barbie soundtrack thus far. She sounds fine but the production is really slow for my liking. I hope she can make more interesting songs soon.

Up first Kpop group New Jeans make their Hits 1 debut with Super Shy. Honestly, this is kind of cool. They all sound pretty good and I like the production. The lyrics are in English Better than most Kpop.
Next up, Charlie On A Friday sampled Unwell by Matchbox 20 on his new song I'm Not Crazy. So this sample was used the same way David Guetta sampled What Is Love on Baby Don't Hurt Me. And this sample was executed flawlessly too. I like the production on this and Charlie On A Friday sounds good per usual. Really good song.
Noah Kahan has previously had one appearance on Hits 1, it was Hurt Somebody with Julia Michaels in 2018, which I liked. He now brings us Dial Drunk with Post Malone. Interesting collab. I don't exactly find this as good as that, but this is still pretty good. They both sound really good and it has extremely cool production. I'm glad this works as well as it did.
Back in 2012, Will.i.am and Britney Spears collaborated on Scream & Shout and I really liked that song. Today, they have collaborated again on Mind Your Business. H o l y C r a p. This is a serious banger. I have no clue what Big2000 is talking about. (If you're not on the discord, he gave a massive rant on how bad he thinks it is last Thursday evening when it came out) Anyways, both of them do an amazing job here and I like the beat this has, this is the complete and total party of 2023.
And now after that, we have a more downtempo song from Teddy Swims called Lose Control. I know him from when he did Bad For Me with Meghan Trainor and All That Really Matters with Illenium. This is fine. As I stated, this is on the slower side, but Teddy Swims sounds really good. So overall, it's fine.
Next up, Zayn is back for the first time since 2018. His new song is called Love Like This, and it is interesting. He sounds pretty good on this, and the production feels like it gives off interesting vibes, I mean that as a compliment. So fine song, hopefully Hits 1 doesn't heavily overrate it.
I guess it is safe for me to add Kylie Minogue to my list of celebrities who went viral for something else long into their careers. For reference, this list consists of Tom Hanks, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Louis Theroux. So how does Kylie Minogue fit in this list? This new song, Padam Padam. So she has had hits in the past such as Can't Get You Out Of My Head and her last Hits 1 appearance before this, All I See. Now her latest song Padam Padam is going viral on Tiktok and is getting serviced to pop radio, so that's how she makes the list. So how's the song? Pretty good. The EDM type production fits the vibe hard and I think she sounds pretty good. So I'm glad this is here.
In December 2021, Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen collaborated on Broadway Girls, which I liked. Then Lil Durk dropped Almost Healed, which contained another collab with Morgan Wallen, and that collab is this next song, Stand By Me. H o l y C r a p. This is better than Broadway Girls. The production on here feels more catch trap and Morgan Wallen delivers one of the better vocal performances I've heard from him, and Lil Durk does well here too. I really hope this is a hit.
Polo G, what the fuck? You have to feature on a song by Diplo that doesn't even sound like he could be behind the production on it, plus it features fucking Jessie Murph of all people? So Diplo's second country project started off like it was going to be great, with the release of Wasted with Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel, which was a complete and total banger (and still is). Then he did Use Me with Johnny Blue Skies* and Dove Cameron, which was nowhere as good, and now we have Heartbroken with Jessie Murph and Polo G. And this is complete mediocracy. The production is slow and does not scream Diplo at all, and Polo G's verse does not fit on here at all. Jessie Murph sounds fine, but it only saves the song a decent bit. Please do better next time, Diplo. I know you're capable of better.
*What Sturgill Simpson was credited as on that song
And lastly... we have this. It's called What The Hell. It has vocals from someone named Brooke Burke, production from someone named Audio Chateau, and someone named Anna Delvey making a phone call from prison... Ok this is extremely strange to the point where people could think I was joking about this even existing. Yet, it's somewhat interesting. The production from Audio Chateau is cool and Brooke Burke sounds pretty good, I wish the song was in a different key. So I have no clue where they could have found it, but I'm fine with this being here.
We lost Do It Like That, Area Codes, We Didn't Start The Fire, In The Stars, I Do, See You Later, and Super Over. The first four are in the abyss, so hopefully, We Didn't Start The Fire and In The Stars debut next week. I'm not sure I Do is gone for good either since it's the extra this week, See You Later was never that great, so I'm fine with that going, and Super Over should have debuted the countdown.
Blurbs:
Our exits were Karma, That Part, and Jumpin. Good fucking riddance to Karma, it was just as bad and overrated as the other two Midnights songs that were on here. That part was good and should have lasted a bit longer, and same goes for Jumpin, but a lot more emphasized.
Attention is finally not #30! Wooohoo!
Void is also starting to climb out of the bottom 5. Sorry Big2000.
I guess I'm In Love With You will be out next week.
Ayy, Hold Me Like A Grudge is almost in the top 15 now.
I'm kind of surprised Vampire isn't in the top 5 yet, but I'm sure it will get there in the coming weeks.
Satellite dropped again, hopefully, the downward momentum continues.
And that's pretty much it, aside from the fact that Give Me A Kiss could hit #1 next week, and I'd be happy with that.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week
