Up first, after a couple months in the abyss and recent surges in airplay, Lose Control by Teddy Swims debuted. This has grown on me since leaving the abyss. While this is moderately slow, this does have good production and I think Teddy Swims has an amazing voice. I'm glad this finally made it out of the abyss.
Lastly, Speed Drive by Charli Xcx- re-entered. Ok then.
Hitbound:
Sabrina Carpenter- Feather
All Time Low/ Avril Lavigne- Fake As Hell (Debut)
Loud Luxury/ Two Friends/ Bebe Rexha- If Only I
Max/ Jvke/ Bazzi- Strings
Nightly- Shirt
Usher/ Summer Walker/ 21 Savage- Good Good
Tate Mcrae- Greedy (Debut)
Olivia Rodrigo- Get Him Back
Travis Scott/ The Weeknd/ Bad Bunny- Kpop
Marshmello/ Dove Cameron- Other Boys
Zara Larsson/ David Guetta- On My Love (Debut)
Diplo/ Jessie Murph/ Polo G- Heartbroken
Bazzi- Doing Time (Debut)
Jordi- Just A Friend
Chris Brown- Summer Too Hot
(Gi)- Dle- I Do
Up first, we have a collaboration between All Time Low and Avril Lavigne called Fake As Hell. Wow. This might be the best song I've heard from either of them. This has amazing production and melodies, and Alex Gaskarth and Avril Lavigne have near perfect chemistry. I really hope this is a huge hit.
Tate Mcrae is also back for the first time since 10:35 hit #1 earlier this year, this is called Greedy. This is probably my second favorite song from her so far, my favorite song from her could forever remain You. Anyways, Tate Mcrae sounds pretty good and I like the production here. Good job Tate.
Well, I never thought I would put a Zara Larsson/ David Guetta collab in blue, given both of them have songs that I really like, but here we are. This just ain't it. David Guetta has done better production jobs before, and this could have been in a different key. But Guetta's production is not bad at all and Zara Larsson sounds as good as always. So it's not what I wanted, but still alright.
Lastly, Bazzi has another song on here, this is called Doing Time. It's a marked improvement over his other song on here and gives off the vibes of his song Mine from 2018, which I liked. My issue here is that it's pretty forgettable. So it's just good.
We lost Gravity, You Wish, and Last Time I Saw You. Gravity was just decent, especially compared to another song of his that Daniel shared with us in the Discord that was upbeat. You Wish was also not that great. And Last Time I Saw You is in the abyss, so hopefully it debuts soon.
Blurbs:
Our exits were Daylight and In The Stars. Daylight seems to be gone for good this time, and In The Stars did fine for being a year old, and that was the last song that was in HB when I first started blogging, interesting side note.
Ok good. Cupid took a huge drop to #19. I hope this is gone soon.
Give Me A Kiss also seems to be on its way out. I can't complain. It had a good run for what it was and I'm satisfied with how well it did.
I feel like Barbie World should have made the top 15 long ago.
How is Enough Is Enough almost in the top 10 despite getting not a lot of airplay?
At least We Didn't Start The Fire is back in the top 10.
And to fully make up for UC losing to Miami yesterday, Cruel Summer has been dethroned from the #1 spot by Dance The Night. I know this is fading on other people, but not me. I'm personally glad this has hit #1 because it's a pretty good song. It's been a couple years since she hit #1 so I'm glad we have another #1 from her. I also saw this was not getting a lot of airplay, so I have a feeling we'll get another new #1 next week, probably What It Is or Vampire.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
There are 4 newcomer artists/groups this week on hitbound:
