My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Drake/ Future/ Young Thug- Way 2 Sexy
#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Galantis/ Neon Trees- Dreamteam
Wow, they actually let a Chainsmokers song on the countdown? Wow! It's a miracle! Anyways, we have Think Of Us with Gracey on here, and it's just what you'd expect from them. They once again did a cool production job here and Gracey sounds really good. Hits 1 better let this do well or we will have some real ass problems.
Apparently, this next song only got played once within the past week but was on the survey. So we have Agora Hills by Doja Cat up next, and this is pretty good but could get moved down a tier if it stays on for too long. The beat sounds a bit similar to Need To Know but the key it's in makes it better, and Doja Cat sounds really good here. So it's totally cool.
On thee topic of songs with surprise debuts, Yes I'm A Mess by AJR, which entered the airplay chart only yesterday and at #48 too, but comes in at #26 on the countdown this week. I'm not complaining at all because this song is quite good. Keywise, it reminds me of Weak and Sober Up from 2017, and Jack Met sounds really good here per usual. Hopefully, the airplay on this goes up so it can do well here.
Oh goodie, time to talk about this. It's this extremely fun new song from The Kid Laroi, Jungkook, and Central Cee called Too Much. The beat to this is extremely cool, and while both The Kid Laroi and Jungkook both sound really good, my favorite part has to be Central Cee's verse. With the production, it reminds me a lot of Jiggle Jiggle by Duke & Jones and Louis Theroux from last year, especially since Central Cee sounds like a cross between Louis Theroux and Ed Sheeran here. I cannot stress enough how much I want this to be huge.
Lastly, Strangers by Kenya Grace comes in at #24 this week. And yes, this has grown on me a decent bit within the past week. It reminds me of something Pink Pantheress would put out, most notably Way Back with Skrillex and Trippie Redd from the beginning of this year. So I'm liking this more than before, and I hope Hits 1 recognizes this as a legit hit.

Shit. Taylor Swift dropped 1989 Taylor's Version yesterday, and unfortunately, we have a song from it this week, it's called Is It Over Now, which is the same question I was wondering while listening to this. It's yet another completely overrated Taylor Swift song that I have no interest in ever hearing if I don't have to. Next!
Next up, Cash Cash brings their first song to Hitbound since Too Late with Wiz Khalifa and Lukas Graham 2.5 years ago, this is a remix of Tell It To My Heart by Taylor Daine from 1988. This is pretty good. I like how Cash Cash modernized this track, and this is a good thing. That's pretty much all I can remember about it, but hopefully it stays in next week.
If there's two types of songs that don't go together, it's ballads and gang songs. Niall Horan and Lizzy McAlpine are here with a ballad called You Should Start A Cult. And this makes no sense whatsoever. It's a bit too slow and the title is just not appropriate for a ballad like this. Do better next time, please.
And it only gets slightly better, because next up, we have a random newcomer named Lily Meola jacking the title from both David Guetta/ Usher and The Kid Laroi as her song is also called Without You. And yes, the other two Without Yous I've previously heard are better than this. Essentially, this is a fairly slower song with similar lyrics to Good Good by Usher, Summer Walker, and 21 Savage, although she does sound pretty good. Probably not going to revisit this any time soon.
Alec Benjamin is back, this song is called Different Kind Of Beautiful. This is good but super forgettable. He sounds pretty good here but that's all I remember about this.
You know it's a strange week in Hitbound when the best debut is the debut single from a random newcomer who they are going to pick up on literally every song from. So this is Wish You Would by Elle Darlington, and what makes this good is that it's in the right key and upbeat. If Hits 1 is going to pick up on all of her songs, they need to be like this.
Lastly, we have another new Troye Sivan song called One Of Your Girls. I don't remember exactly how this goes, but I do remember that Got Me Started was better. I'll need to listen again when this stays in next week.
We lost Swingin At The Stars, Have Your Way, and Hands On Me. I'm only going to miss the last one, and even then, it's probably in the abyss.
Blurbs:
Our exits were Paint The Town Red, Speed Drive, One More Time, Dance The Night, and Padam Padam. Not entirely sure why Paint The Town Red was not as huge on here as it was everywhere else. Speed Drive was only good, One More Time should've done better, Dance The Night had a great run, and Padam Padam should not have left one week after jumping.
Why is Heartbroken at #21? I'm sure nobody wants this.
Hold Me Like A Grudge is down to #18. I'm fine with that, it's not as good as other songs of theirs.
Single Soon took a hit down to #15. It's not that great, so I'm fine with this.
Good to see Need A Favor at #14.
Get Him Back jumped all the way to #12, and at least this didn't pull a Good 4 U.
Great seeing Last Time I Saw You in the top 10.
When the hell will Cruel Summer drop huge or just leave?
Great seeing We Didn't Start The Fire in the top 5. Hopefully, this hits #1 soon.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
