My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Drake/ Future/ Young Thug- Way 2 Sexy
#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Will.i.am/ J Balvin- Let's Go

It's been almost a year, but we finally have a new One To Watch for the first time since It's Been So Long by K Flay from December 2022. The last time I liked a 1TW song was with Weatherman by Eddie Benjamin in March 2022. 10 Things I Hate About You was quite bad, I Feel Everything was really just there, and It's Been So Long was super mediocre and had an unnecessary key change at the end. Now we have Stranger by Willow Avalon, and this is not good at all. It's way too slow and essentially rips off Strangers by Kenya Grace (which is growing on me, btw) in two ways, these are having a similar title and the same key. Willow Avalon sounds like a cross between Jessie Murph and Dolly Parton, which I can't say is a compliment or not, but not enough to save the song from any faults. I hope this doesn't stick around after its tenure as 1TW.

Thankfully, the rest of our entrants are better, starting with Pretty Girl by Ice Spice and Rema. I forgot to mention last week that I noticed they jacked the title from a Maggie Lindemann/ Cheat Codes song from 2017, but that doesn't affect the song at all. This is a pretty good rap/ Afropop/ somewhat EDM hybrid. I like Rema's hook and Ice Spice's verses, along to some cool production. Glad we have this here.

Next up, Olivia Rodrigo replaces herself as Get Him Back makes its way out of a second abyss run on to the countdown. I still like this as much as I did when it debuted HB 1.5 months ago. The production sounds moderately normal, and I like how she is rapping in the verses. It also has a good hook. So essentially this is a better version of Good 4 U, and I'm fine with that, and it's still a guilty pleasure.

Lastly, 3D by Jungkook and Jack Harlow re-entered, with Jungkook replacing himself. Glad to see it back, I hope it lasts a lot longer this time.

Hitbound:
Henry Moodie- Pick Up The Phone
The Chainsmokers/ Gracey- Think Of Us (Debut)
The Rose- Back To Me
Claire Rosinkranz- Swinging At The Stars
Blink 182- Fell In Love (Debut)
Jenna Raine-It Is What It Is
Dove Cameron- Lethal Woman (Debut)
Lany- XXL
Kenya Grace- Strangers
The Kid Laroi/ Jungkook/ Central Cee- Too Much (Debut)
Troye Sivan- Got Me Started
Knox- Not The 1975
Jxdn- Chrome Hearted
Jason Derulo/ Meghan Trainor- Hands On Me
Maneskin- Honey
Presley Regier- Have Your Way

They picked up on a Chainsmokers song! It's a miracle! Anyways, we have Think Of Us with Gracey on here, and it's just what you'd expect from them. They once again did a cool production job here and Gracey sounds really good. Hits 1 better not fuck this over or we will have some real ass problems.

Yesterday, Blink 182 dropped their album One More Time, and from it, we have Fell In Love. And this is the banger I'm always expecting from them. Both vocalists sound really good here per usual and all three of them did a great job on the instrumentation. I've said it before, I'll say it again. It's good to have them back.

On the topic of new albums, Dove Cameron just announced one, ad the next single from it is called Lethal Woman. This is moderately interesting. She sounds pretty good- more like she does in something like Boyfriend, Breakfast, or Bad Idea, and the production gives off the vibes of something from Dvbbs or Hardwell, and that's a good thing. So interesting song.

And we're rounding our moderately short list of debuts with a very interesting collab, this being from The Kid Laroi, Jungkook, and UK rapper Central Cee, who I've never actively listened to before but I've heard the name. Such a great song. The Kid Laroi and Jungkook both do a great job, but with this production, Central Cee's verse sounds a lot like Jiggle Jiggle by Duke & Jones and Louis Theroux, given that Central Cee sounds almost exactly like Louis Theroux here. I have no doubts this will be huge, and I can't wait for that to happen.

We lost I Know, If Only I, and Yes I'm A Mess. If Only I was really generic and the other two realy should've debuted.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Vampire, Barbie World, On My Love, and Seven. I'm gonna call it: Vampire had a great run despite not hitting #1. Barbie World got annoying long ago, so I'm glad that's finally gone. On My Love should not have left after growing on me. And Seven did really well.

Not going to complain about American Town jumping 5 spots off its debut.

Noooo why did Lose Control drop 11 spots? I really hope this rebounds.

At least What Was I Made For also dropped. That shitshow never should have even been in the top 10 in the first place.

Looks like Last Time I Saw You has officially rebounded to its rightful place in the top 15.

Padam Padam and Lil Boo Thang both jumped 7 spots. Yay on both.

Could We Didn't Start The Fire please make the top 5 next week?

So to everyone's surprise, Greedy by Tate Mcrae jumped 7 spots to #1. I'm glad this is getting success here as this is my second favorite song from her, behind You. It's safe to admit that Dom, Hunter, and Waffle are all happier about this being #1 than I am though, but I'm still pretty happy about this at #1. I still hope What It Is can make it there though.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
