Up first, we have a new song from Jack Harlow called Lovin On Me, and this uses the same formula he used for First Class last year. Here's what I mean: Remember how First Class sampled Glamourous by Fergie and Ludacris in its hook? Well, in this new song, he sampled Whatever by Cadillac Dale, a song from 1995 that I've never heard of, in the hook. So if you're an OG viewer of this blog, you may remember I liked First Class a decent bit, and I really like this one too. The production is super cool, Jack Harlow's flow is on point throughout, and the sample was executed flawlessly. I hope this is as huge as First Class was.

On Friday, AJR dropped their new album The Maybe Man, and from it, we have Touchy Feely Fool. I would not necessarily put this among their best, but it's still pretty good. Jack Met sounds pretty good and I like the production on here. Not much else to say about this.

We've had some fairly interesting collabs this year, and up next we have another one, Strong Enough by the Jonas Brothers and Bailey Zimmerman, who I think we remember from his Hitbound dropout Rock And A Hard Place from late last year. I was interested to see how this would turn out, and it turned out quite good. Bailey Zimmerman has surprisingly good chemistry with both Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas and the production is pretty good here. Glad this exists.

On the topic of interesting collabs, next up, we have a new song from Jessie Murph and Jelly Roll called Wild Ones. This actually came out a few weeks ago, but it's fine. I was interested to see how this would turn out, but it's more what you'd expect from Jessie Murph. It's moderately slow and not in a key I usually revisit songs in, but Jelly Roll's verse is quite good. Overall, I prefer Flo Rida and Sia's song of the same title from 2012.

It looks like Dua Lipa is entering a new era of music, as we have a new song from her called Houdini. This is quite good. She sounds really good per usual and Kevin Parker from Tame Impala did a great job on production. Catchy song.

The Kid Laroi's new album The First Time dropped on Friday, and from it, we have Bleed. This is just okay. It's definitely no Too Much. He sounds pretty good and I like the production, but I don't remember anything else about it.

Lastly, Pink Pantheress brings us a new song with Central Cee called Nice To Meet You. I think we remember Central Cee from his verse on Too Much by The Kid Laroi that sounded exactly like a carbon copy of Jiggle Jiggle by Duke & Jones and Louis Theroux. But this feels like a regular Pink Pantheress song, and that's neither good nor bad in this case, but it makes Central Cee's verse sound less like Jiggle Jiggle. So it's tolerable, just not how I hoped it would be.

We lost Chrome Hearted, You Should Start A Cult, It Is What It Is, Fell In Love, Optionz, Tell It To My Heart, and Back To Me. You Should Start A Cult was extremely mediocre and confusing, It Is What It Is was fading on me, and I never fully expected the last two to debut. But Chrome Hearted, Fell In Love, and especially Optionz deserved to debut the countdown.

Blurbs
Ok why did Pretty Girl drop 5 spots to #28? I hope this rebounds next week.

Well, at least Stranger also dropped. I hope this doesn't stick around after its tenure as 1TW.

Also relieved that Heartbroken dropped 5 spots. That has no business in the top 20.

It got replaced by Yes I'm A Mess. That's a W.

Looks like Snooze is finally going to snooze off the countdown next week, which I really hope it does.

Ok why the fuck did Is It Over Now jump 11 spots off its debut? It's going to be a huge hit, isn't it?

Looks like Bad Idea Right is on its way out. I'm fine with that, it got replaced in the top 5 by Get Him Back, which is a lot better in my opinion.

American Town and 3D got decent sized jumps, yay for both.

Finally. Cruel Summer is starting to drop again. I hope this leaves from the #10 spot next week.

Because I'm not Waffle, I'm super happy about Need A Favor and Lose Control making the top 10 this week.

Umm... why did Used To Be Young rebound to #2? I'm sure nobody wants this.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
