My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Walker Hayes- U Gurl
#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Fmk/ Zion & Lennox- Trajecito

So first up, we have Tate Mcrae's latest, Exes. Guys, this might be my favorite solo song from her. Trap production. Key of G minor. Amazing melodies. Combine these with Tate Mcrae sounding great per usual, you have one hell of a fucking banger. I hope they make this a hit like they did with Greedy.

And our other debut this week, coming in a lot higher than I expected but I'm happy about this nonetheless, is Not The 1975 by Knox. And my opinion on this still stands from two months ago. I think Knox sounds really good here and the production is super cool. I'm super glad they found this, and I would be more than fine with them picking up more Knox songs.

Hitbound

Zara Larsson- Memory Lane (Debut)
The Weeknd/ Jennie/ Lily Rose Depp- One Of Your Girls (Debut)
Pitbull/ Nile Rodgers- Freak 54

Peggy Gou- It Goes Like (Re-entry)
Noah Kahan- Stick Season
AJR- Touchy Feely Fool
Benson Boone- To Love Someone (Debut)
Neiked/ Ayra Starr- You're Hired

Ok if you thought last week's HB list was questionable, you haven't even heard of this week's list, which contains three debuts that have been things for a while now and Hits 1 is just now picking up on them. First up is one of those songs, It Girl by Aliyah's Interlude. And... This slaps. The production sounds almost EDM type and whoever is rapping sounds pretty good. Glad I eventually heard this.

We have another Zach Bryan song on here after I Remember Everything hit #1 on the hot 100 and later dropped out of Hitbound, this is Dawns with Maggie Rogers. This is a marked improvement over I Remember Everything. It's more upbeat and Zach Bryan actually sounds better here than on I Remember Everything, and Maggie Rogers sounds good too. I wish they had picked up on this earlier, but it's cool.

Up next, we have by far the most questionable debut, Angel Numbers/ Ten Toes by Chris Brown. And what the hell is this? It actually starts out pretty good, but then we get to a super long instrumental, and we have a key change down a whole step, and this really brings down the song for me. Plus it's five minutes long, and I got quite bored listening to this after four. I'm really hoping this is the only time I ever hear that weirdness.

Ok, at least it gets somewhat normal after that, now we have a new Zara Larsson song called Memory Lane. This is just good in my opinion, as in I'm not sold on it yet. She sounds good and the production is pretty good, I'm not sold on the key it's in. But it's cool.

After The Weeknd's TV series The Idol did not get renewed for a second season, Hits 1 picks up on a song from that soundtrack, this is One Of The Girls with Jennie from Blackpink and Lily Rose Depp. I liked Double Fantasy, and Popular got way too overplayed. There is actually nothing weird about this at all. All three of them sound really good and have decent chemistry, and the production is cool. Just like with It Girl and Dawns, I wish they had picked up on this earlier, though.

Lastly, we have another Benson Boone song on here, this is called To Love Someone. It's another ballad, but unlike Ghost Town and In The Stars, this hasn't clicked on me yet. It evolves fairly well and Benson Boone sounds great, it just sounds like I'm Not The Only One by Sam Smith when you combine the production style with the key.

We lost Seasons, My Love Mine All Mine, Bleed, Nice To Meet You, Standing Next To You, and Without You. Seasons is in the abyss, so hopefully it debuts next week, and aside from Standing Next To You, I'm fine with the rest of them leaving.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Different Kind Of Beautiful and Think Of Us. I'm honestly fine with both of these, Think Of Us is actually starting to fade on me somewhat.

Nice to see Lovin On Me jumping off its debut.

Looks like Bad Idea Right is on its way out. I'm fine with this, it had a pretty good run, plus, the other two Guts singles I've heard are better.

Single Soon got a well deserved drop. I hope this leaves next week.

Ok I'm hoping Lil Boo Thang isn't on its way out and rebounds next week.

Good seeing Houdini jumping off its mega debut from last week.

Looks like Lose Control is at #2, I'd actually like this to hit #1 next week or sometime.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
