Up first is Shaboozey's latest after the success of A Bar Song, this is called Good News. Wow. This is really good. The beat here is similar to that of A Bar Song and Shaboozey sounds as good as, if not better than, he did on that song. And it's the lyrics here that really make this song work. Let's just hope Shaboozey is not a one hit wonder.

Next up. we have Tate McRae's latest, 2 Hands. This is another solid song from her. The beat here is quite cool and she sounds pretty good. Glad I heard this.

For whatever reason, I'm His He's Mine by Katy Perry and Doechii re-entered. Ok, but this could get somewhat annoying if it stays for too long.

This next song was in the top 10 in airplay all week last week but only debuted two days ago, That's So True by Gracie Abrams. This has grown on me since it was first on Hitbound, but not by a huge margin. I still feel like this sounds a little bit like Risk from earlier this year, but the key is actually more tolerable so I'll take it. Not sold yet, but my opinion is more positive.

And then we have Wildflower by Billie Eilish re-entering at #14... Ok then.

Lastly, we have another song from Chappell Roan's The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess album, this one is Pink Pony Club. This is solid. It's definitely a lot better than Kaleidoscope but nowhere near as good as Hot To Go, Red Wine Supernova, or Good Luck Babe. It starts off a bit slow but picks up as the song goes on. I don't know, it honestly doesn't have the same energy as the three aforementioned songs. I still like her voice though. And as I said, this is a lot more tolerable than Kaleidoscope. So I'll take it.

Hitbound:
Jessie Murph- Sip
Ariana Grande- Popular (Debut)
Balu Brigada- So Cold
Rosé- Number One Girl (Debut)
Jack Harlow- Hello Miss Johnson (Debut)
Almost Monday- Can't Slow Down
Griff- Last Night's Mascara
Meg Donnelly- In My Bag
Dasha- Heartbreaker From Tennessee
Twenty One Pilots- The Line (Debut)
Lil Nas X- Need Dat Boy (Debut)
Jonah Marais/ Ryan Lewis- Slow Motion
The Marias- No One Noticed
Myles Smith- Nice To Meet You (Re-entry)
Nessa Barrett/ Artemas- Mustang Baby
Henry Moodie- Good Old Days

So the Wicked movie came out over the weekend, and of the soundtrack, we have Popular by Ariana Grande, who stars as Galinda in the film. Usually, I like songs from animated movies/ musicals, if you're an OG viewer of this blog, you may remember I liked We Don't Talk About Bruno from Encanto, and I also liked Rewrite The Stars from The Greatest Showman however long ago that was. This, however, I don't really care for. Mainly because Ariana Grande does not exactly sound like herself. Yes, I get this is supposed to be a cover of the song of the stage adaptation of Wicked with the same title, but it feels a bit out of place among previous Ariana Grande songs I've heard.

(sighs) Well, I was expecting Rosé's songs after APT to be fun like that one was, but today, we have Number One Girl, and yeah, this is ass. The production here is was too slow and does not go well with Rosé's voice at all and the lyrics are similar to those of Never The 1 by Rosie and Narcissist by Avery Anna, so yeah, not worth my time at all. NEXT!

Oh, finally, a good song. So next up, we have Hello Miss Johnson by Jack Harlow. This is quite good. I've always liked Jack Harlow's rapping flow, and he does a good job here too, and the beat here is so damn cool. Fun song.

And then, we go back to something I'm not super into. Of course I like Twenty One Pilots, but this new song, The Line, isn't for me. It's a bit too slow and Tyler Joseph has sounded better before. I'd like more fun Twenty One Pilots music, like, you know, all of their classic songs.

We have more new music from Lil Nas X up next, this is called Need Dat Boy. I'm gonna be completely honest, I'd like this more if there was more of a beat in the first two verses. That's really my only issue, as Lil Nas X sounds pretty good and this is in a tolerable key. It definitely should have been better though.

We lost Light Again, Slow It Down, Panic Attack, and Wait For You. The first two are in the abyss, so hopefully they debut next week and I'm fine with the other two leaving, the last one in particular lasted a bit too long.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Joyride, Carry You Home, Beautiful Day, Forever Young, Lonely Road, and So High School, Joyride was a fun song. Carry You Home had a great Run. I'm not sure if Beautiful Day and Forever Young are fully done, the latter in particular could pull a Million Dollar Baby by Ava Max. I don't really like Lonely Road as much as I used to, and good riddance to So High School, we really didn't need another TTPD song over six months later.

Good to see Love somebody jumping off the re-entry from last week.

Looks like Heatstroke might leave next week, given how much it dropped.

Hopefully, Moonlit floor makes the top 15 next week.

It would be interesting to see if APT makes the top 10 soon.

I guess I'm alright with I Am Not Okay almost in the top 5.

And not a whole lot happened in the top 5, hopefully Taste gets dethroned soon.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
