#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Green Day- Smash It Like Belushi
Our first debut is Nokia by Drake, I believe this is his first appearance since Not Like Us was a thing, this is called Nokia, and it was from his collab album with PartyNextDoor from earlier this year but doesn't feature PartyNextDoor... ok then. Anyways, this is just good. Drake sounds fine, but there's a slight beat switch midway through that still feels out of place, and aside from that, there's nothing all that memorable about it, plus it feels a bit long. So overall a good song, not great though.
Sally When The Wine Runs Out re-entered. That's quite good to see.
This next song is another Sza/ Kendrick Lamar collab, this one is 30 For 30. So I think this is better than Luther but not as good as All The Stars from 2018. It has an interesting enough beat, the key is tolerable, and the both sound fine. Nothing more to say here.
Lastly... Love Somebody by Morgan Wallen randomly re-entered. As much as I still like this, I don't think it needed to re-enter again, especially since I've heard other I'm The Problem songs, including a new one that I will be talking about later. This reminded a lot of people, myself included, about when If The World Was Ending by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels randomly re-entered in September 2020 and then left the following week. Therefore, I don't think Love Somebody will stay on next week.
Hitbound:
The Summer Set- Adidas
Morgan Wallen/ Post Malone- I Ain't Coming Back (Debut)
Dove Cameron- Too Much
Knox- Going Going Gone
Michael Clifford- Cool
Hayes Warner- Threw Me Away
Jack Harlow/ Doja Cat- Just Us
Kesha/ T Pain- Yippee Ki Yay
Thomas Day- Sleep When We're Dead
Ravyn Lenae- Love Me Not
Shaboozey/ Myles Smith- Blink Twice
Crash Adams- Karaoke
Sombr- Undressed
Jonah Marais- Better Place
Emei- Crazy Stupid Love
BigXThaPlug/ Bailey Zimmerman- All The Way
Only one debut this week, and it's one that I referenced earlier in this post. This is I Ain't Coming Back by Morgan Wallen and Post Malone, the second time they have collaborated following I Had Some Help last year. And if I'm being honest, this might be better than that song. It has a pretty good beat to it and Morgan Wallen and Post Malone once again sound quite good together. Let's see how this ends up doing.
We lost A Lot More Free. Good fucking riddance, this did not need to re-enter if it was only going to leave again the following week.
Blurbs:
Our exits were Love In Real Life, BMF, Sailor Song, and Next Summer. Love In Real Life was really just there, so I'm not complaining too much. BMF lasted a bit long for what it was to the point that I moved it down a tier. Sailor Song Also lasted a bit long, but I still like it. And Next Summer should still be here.
End Of The World and Twilight Zone both jumped off their debuts. Ok then.
Luther really can't seem to decide what to do.
Looks like Good News might be on its way out, but I can't complain too much, as his new collab with Myles Smith is actually better.
Azizam jumped huge off its debut. Great to see, and a I'm a bit reliever Ed Sheeran hasn't entered his flop era yet.
Anxiety also jumped into the top 10, hopefully this is top 5 soon.
And speaking of the top 5, Call Me When You break Up is now there. Honestly, I wouldn't mind this hitting #1 soon.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
