Recommendations For Hits 1: Gary LeVox/ Akon/ De La Ghetto- Hold The Umbrella, Steve Aoki/ Tyler Hubbard- Forget Tonight, and Robbie Williams/ Tony Iommi- Rocket

Our first debut is from Alessi Rose, this is called Same Mouth. This is likely better than IKYK but not by a whole lot. The production is a lot more realistic than on that song but the key this is in doesn't help it a whole lot. So somewhat of an improvement over what she previously had.

The next song is thankfully and surprisingly a lot better, it's What I Want by Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae. (By the way, he said this was his first ever collab with a female artist, but I think he forgot he did Heartless with Diplo and Julia Michaels five years ago.) This works rather well. The beat is pretty solid and they both sound pretty good and actually sound solid together. Surprisingly good collab.

For some strange reason, Good News by Shaboozey re-entered. Ok then, but you know he put out two songs since then that are better, right?

Hitbound:
People R Ugly- DoULoveMe
Renee Rapp- Leave Me Alone (Debut)
Ed Sheeran- Old Phone
Michael Clifford- Cool
Alex Warren/ Jelly Roll- Bloodline (Debut)
Dove Cameron- French Girls
Benson Boone- Momma Song (Debut)
MGK- Cliche (Debut)
Emei- Crazy Stupid Love
Jon Bellion/ Luke Combs- Why (Debut)
Joe Jonas- Heart By Heart
The Paradox- Do Me Like That
Tyla- Bliss
Rihanna- Friend Of Mine
Laufey- Tough Luck
Avril Lavigne/ Simple Plan- Young & Dumb

First Up, Renee Rapp is back for the first time in a hot minute with a new song called Leave Me Alone. This is solid. She sounds pretty good here and it has a solid beat to it. All I need to say here.

This next song has been highly anticipated in recent weeks and is finally here. It's Bloodline by Alex Warren and Jelly Roll. I wouldn't put that on my list of extremely bizarre collabs, but I still quite like this. Both Alex Warren and Jelly Roll sound really good here and the production here gives off the vibes of an Avicii song (I think Alex Warren himself even compared this to an Avicii song while promoting it). That leads me to my one complaint, which is that it could have used an Avicii type drop after the hook, but it's fine, it doesn't bring down the song for me at all. Unlike...

Now on to a song I have more complaints about, Momma Song by Benson Boone. This is the first ballad I've heard from him in a minute, and he can do ballads pretty well, such as Ghost Town or In The Stars. I still like his voice here but there is not a whole lot of a beat to back it up and I may forget what this sounds like in record time, hell, all I remember about the lyrics was that they were for his mom for Mother's Day. So yeah, not exactly bad, I probably don't need to hear this again.

At least we get to talk about one good song in between two not so good songs. So up next is the latest from MGK, this is called Cliche. I've made it rather clear in the past that pop punk MGK is better than rap MGK (although Bad Things, At My Best, and Rap Devil all exist), and it seems like he is leaning more into pop punk for this song, so it goes without saying that I quite like this one, especially since it is a love song, and then MGK sounds quite good here per usual. Great song.

Oof, this last one is quite rough to talk about. It's a new song from Jon Bellion and Luke Combs called Why. As in, why has Jon Bellion gone to complete shit lately? I liked Kid Again from last fall, but the next two songs he had were nowhere near as good... and that brings us to the present day, where his new song sucks ass. It's super boring and unlike Horoscope, it isn't in a key that can allow me to tolerate it. Both Jon Bellion and Luke Combs sound fine, but not even that saves the song from me ranting on it. I hope this only lasts one week.

We lost Voices, Blink Twice, and All The Way. All three of these deserved quite better in my opinion.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Messy, Like Jennie, and I Ain't Coming Back. It was getting time for those first two songs to leave, since Messy has been here for a while and Like Jennie never made it past #25. But I Ain't Coming Back should likely still be here.

Yeah, I hope this is it for Blue Strips.

Ok then, I'm fine with Undressed in the top 20 for week 2.

Welp, Twilight Zone's stint in the top 10 didn't last long.

I'm glad we're actually making Sally When The Wine Runs Out a thing.

Toxic Till The End continues to drop, but it should be dropping a bit faster.

Ordinary made it into the top 5. I'd be fine with this going to #1, especially if it means Busy Woman getting blocked.

And speaking of #1, we have a new one, Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else. I'm totally fine with this being #1, it's actually grown on me lately, though I wouldn't want this at #1 for too long. For now, I'll take this.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
