Last Year's #1: Hozier- Too Sweet
#1 Two Years Ago: Fall Out Boy- Love From The Other Side
My Favorite Song Last Year: Shaboozey- A Bar Song
My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Morgan Wallen- Last Night
Recommendations For Hits 1: Gary LeVox/ Akon/ De La Ghetto- Hold The Umbrella and Steve Aoki/ Tyler Hubbard- Forget Tonight

God dammit, we really didn't need this first song on here. Of course I'm talking about Blue Strips by Jessie Murph, which is becoming rather huge for some inexplicable reason. And my opinion still stands from last week. This sucks ass. This reminds me way too much of Need To Know by Doja Cat in a rather distracting way and it sounds somewhat repetitive, plus she doesn't sound that great here. Yeah, I hope this only lasts one to two weeks on here.

It gets slightly, since after multiple weeks on Hitbound and a few more in the abyss, Love Me Not by Ravyn Lenae makes its way on to the countdown. I still find this one pretty good. It has a rather fun beat and Ravyn Lenae sounds pretty good, although I don't exactly plan on revisiting this outside of the countdown. But yeah, an improvement on what I just talked about.

While the better F1 song, Lose My Mind by Don Toliver and Doja Cat, is in the abyss, we have Messy by Rosé making its way on to the countdown. This is pretty good, though not great. The beat's fine, Rosé sounds pretty good here, this just feels a bit forgettable. I'll need to hear it more.

Next up, Feel It by D4vd re-entered exactly one year after it first debuted, and one week after re-entering HB. It's still a good song, so I'm not complaining.

Lastly, we have Undressed by Sombr making its way on to the countdown. Yes, this has faded on me since it first debuted, mainly because of the lyrics being about a failed relationship or any kind of heartbreak and him not being able to move on from her and find someone else. That said, this still has a solid beat and I like Sombr's voice here. So yeah, still tolerable.

Hitbound:
Ed Sheeran- Old Phone
Alessi Rose- Same Mouth (Debut)
The Paradox- Do Me Like That
Morgan Wallen/ Tate McRae- What I Want (Debut)
Rihanna- Friend Of Mine (Debut)
Damiano David- Voices
Tyla- Bliss (Debut)
People R Ugly- DoULoveMe (Debut)
Shaboozey/ Myles Smith- Blink Twice
Dove Cameron- French Girls
Avril Lavigne/ Simple Plan- Young & Dumb
BigXThaPlug/ Bailey Zimmerman- All The Way
Joe Jonas- Heart By Heart
Laufey- Tough Luck (Debut)
Michael Clifford- Cool
Emei- Crazy Stupid Love

Just great. I first have to talk about Alessi Rose's second song on here after IKYK spent too damn long in Hitbound earlier this year, this is called Same Mouth. This is likely better than IKYK but not by a whole lot. The production is a lot more realistic than on that song but the key this is in doesn't help it a whole lot. So somewhat of an improvement over what she previously had.

Yesterday, Morgan Wallen dropped his much-anticipated album I'm The Problem, and from it, we have the second weirdest collab released yesterday (the first song on my list of recommendations for this week is the weirdest), What I Want with Tate McRae. And I'll admit, I was interested to hear how this would turn out. And it works rather well. The beat is pretty solid and they both sound pretty good and actually sound solid together. Surprisingly good collab.

Ok, we don't need questionable Rihanna songs from movie soundtracks anymore. We had Lift Me Up a few years ago, and now, she's playing Smurfette in a new Smurfs movie and just dropped a song from it called Friend Of Mine. Yeah, no. This takes a minute to fully get going before Rihanna starts singing, and then it's mostly her singing "feel like a friend of mine" over and over again with occasional other lyrics. That said, the beat is interesting enough to save the song from being bad. Overall, I hope this new Smurfs movie has better songs.

Next up, we have a new song from Tyla called Bliss. This is another catchy song from her and she sounds pretty good here. I'm glad I'm still hearing from her.

I've been waiting a week to talk about this next song. This is my recommendation from last week, DoULoveMe by People R Ugly. And yeah, this is yet another banger from them. The production is quite iconic like it always is from these guys and Zak Dossi sounds quite good per usual. There's a reason they're now 3 for 3 with purple songs in HB.

And lastly, we have this. We have Laufey making her Hits 1 debut with Tough Luck. This is decent. It has in interesting enough beat that improves as the song goes on and Laufey sounds decent here, although she sounds a bit haunted and I think that for what this song is supposed to be, she's being a bit too hard on this dude who seems to be a die hard football fan, and I say that because she calls him out for cussing out opposing football teams at one point (I bring this up as a fan of UC's football team). So yeah, overall I'll take this, but I've heard better and worse FU anthems than this. The good news for Hallett is that this could definitely grow on me.

We lost Horoscope, Lemonade, and Yippee Ki Yay. I've forgotten what the first to sound like, and Yippee Ki Yay probably should have debuted.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Good News, I Love You I'm Sorry, Garden Of Eden, Revolving Door, and Sailor Song. Those first two songs had good runs and will definitely be missed, and I'm a little bit surprised about how much Garden Of Eden flopped. Then Revolving Door isn't as good as Sports Car or her new song with Morgan Wallen, and I'm not sure what the point of bringing Sailor Song back was if it was just going to leave one week later.

Nokia is finally not #30. Watch it leave next week.

Great to see Priceless jumping off its debut.

More of a neutral opinion on What Was That and Party 4 U jumping, though.

Happy to see Mystical Magical finally jumping huge.

Messy (Lola Young's) dropped again.

Yeah, Sally When The Wine Runs Out is easily Role Model's highest peaking song on the countdown, surpassing Going Out's peak by double digits at #13 this week. Great to see that.

The Giver is now in the top 10, which is a relief since it essentially flopped harder than J Christ everywhere else.

Twilight Zone is also in the top 10. Slightly less thrilled about that.

Toxic Till The End finally dropped a few spots. Relieved that this won't be #1.

As predicted, Azizam made it into the top 5. I really hope this hits #1 before Busy Woman does. And we are still in need a new #1 since Abracadabra is still up there.

I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
