Our first debut comes from Madison Beer, this is called Bittersweet. Yeah, this is pretty good and even has the tendency to grow on me, in fact, I could move this up next week. The production is solid here and Madison Beer sounds pretty good, and this seems to be about processing emotions after a breakup, meaning this is a much better version of Reckless from four years ago. So yeah, I'm fine with hearing this on here.
It even gets better, because next up is Gone Gone Gone by David Guetta, Teddy Swims, and Tones And I. Ok, this kind of works in a good way. David Guetta's production is on point as always and both Teddy Swims and Tones And I sound pretty good here, and sound good together when they sing the second hook. I'm super happy this works as well as it does and is on the countdown.
Up next is something I initially talked about four months ago but is just now on the countdown, Bloodline by Alex Warren and Jelly Roll. And my opinion from back then still stands. I feel as though he is trying to go for an Avicii vibe with this with the production, and that is definitely a compliment. Plus, Alex Warren and Jelly Roll both sound pretty good here per usual. Glad this finally debuted.
And if one The Life Of A Showgirl song on here wasn't enough, of course, one week after The Fate Of Ophelia debuted, we have Opalite. Oh dear god, do I even need to explain further? It's just completely generic and forgettable as hell, and I have no idea if this is even being pushed as a single or not. So yeah, I hope this only lasts a few weeks and this is the last TLOAS song we have, because this is already getting annoying.
Hitbound:
Louis Tomlinson- Lemonade
Charlie Puth- Changes (Debut)
Emei- Talk Talk Talk
5 Seconds Of Summer- Boyband (Debut)
All Time Low/ Jojo- Sugar (Debut)
The Favors- David's Brother
Demi Lovato- Kiss
Charli XCX- Everything Is Romantic (Debut)
Eddie Benjamin/ Shawn Mendes- Home
Doja Cat- Gorgeous
Jisoo/ Zayn- Eyes Closed
The Chainsmokers- Smooth
Maisie Peters- Audrey Hepburn
Sienna Spiro- Die On This Hill
Tyler The Creator- Sugar On My Tongue
People R Ugly- Wake Up
Only four debuts. Not too bad. First up is Charlie Puth's first song in a hot minute, this is called Changes. This is pretty good. This has solid production and Charlie Puth sounds pretty good, and apparently, this is about him and his wife expecting their first child soon. Yeah, glad I heard this, glad he's back, and I hope this is on the countdown.
5 Seconds Of Summer also have a new song out, this is called Boyband. This is also pretty cool. The beat is super cool here and Luke Hemmings sounds quite good here per usual. I'm excited for their new album coming soon.
Ooh, this collab looks interesting. It's All Time Low and Jojo on Sugar. I usually like it when All Time Low collaborate with female artists, such as PMA with Pale Waves from four years ago and Fake As Hell with Avril Lavigne from two years ago, and this is also really good. The instrumentation here is on point and both Alex Gaskarth and Jojo sound quite good and have solid chemistry when they sing the hook together. Yeah, such a banger here.
And lastly, we have a Charli XCX song called Everything Is Romantic, this was apparently in the trailer for a movie called Wuthering heights that stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, and Charli XCX is writing original songs for it, per what Mikey Piff said. And now, we have this decent at best Brat song that feels the same as pretty much every other song from that album and it really isn't all that memorable here. Charli XCX does sound pretty good here, but there were much better Brat songs. I think I'm already ready for her next era.
We lost Lover Girl and Friends Don't. I didn't care for either of these, so I'm fine with them leaving.
Blurbs:
Our exits were No Time To Talk, Nice To Meet You, Cliche, and Love Me Not. I feel like No Time To Talk could have dropped a little bit more after it was at #3 for way too many consecutive weeks before dropping to #7 last week. I was getting pretty tired of Nice To Meet You, especially when Myles Smith just put out Stay and that is so much better. And while I liked the last two, they had both been here for a long time and it was getting time for them to leave.

Seems like Tit For Tat is starting to do something interesting.
Not Ok is taking an awfully long time to get going given how much Hits 1 likes 5 Seconds Of Summer.
Hopefully, The Big Goodbye is in the top 20 next week.
About time Jealous Type is in the top 20.
Eternity also surprisingly jumped into the top 20. That's good to see.
And... of course The Fate Of Ophelia jumped all the way to #5 on its second week. We really didn't need this, hopefully it isn't #1 on week 3.
I guess that does it for me this week, see you guys next week.
