Well, it was about time this first song debuted. Making its way out of the abyss after about three months, we have Eternity by Alex Warren. This has got to be among his best songs. While it is on the slower side, it is in Bb major, has amazing melodies, and Alex Warren's voice is really powerful here, and this seems to be about someone he hasn't seen in a long time. I'm glad this is finally here.
What I'm not glad is here, however, is The Fate Of Ophelia by Taylor Swift. And yes, this is just what I have come to expect from her at this point, a bunch of generic shit that everyone is going to overrate the living shit out of for a shit long time. If this is going to go to #1, I would prefer it stays there for only one or two weeks.

Up first, this collab exists. This is from David Guetta, Teddy Swims, and Tones And I and it's called Gone Gone Gone. Ok, this kind of works in a good way. David Guetta's production is on point as always and both Teddy Swims and Tones And I sound pretty good here, and sound good together when they sing the second hook. I'm super happy this works as well as it does.
Ok can we stop picking up on Sienna Spiro already? I'm now stuck talking about her new song Die On This Hill, and yeah, this isn't good. It's boring AF and Sienna Spiro doesn't exactly have the voice to save this at all. I'd prefer if this flopped just like her other songs did.
In my last post, I talked about Louis Tomlinson's first song since Liam Payne's death last year, and now I get to talk about Zayn's (and I'm late enough on this post to know that Niall Horan has also dropped his one week after this). He is back with a collaboration with Jisoo called Eyes Closed. This is really good. Both Jisoo and Zayn sound really good here and the chemistry they have when singing the hook together is rock solid. The song also seems to be about wanting to fall in love in a rather secret way. I hope this is a hit.
The next two songs are by artists who replace themselves, the first of those two is Bittersweet by Madison Beer. Yeah, this is pretty good and even has the tendency to grow on me. The production is solid here and Madison Beer sounds pretty good, and this seems to be about processing emotions after a breakup, meaning this is a much better version of Reckless from four years ago (does anyone remember that song?) So yeah, I'm fine with hearing this on here.
The other artist replacing herself this week is Demi Lovato, who brings us Kiss. This is also pretty solid, but a bit of a downgrade from Here All Night. The beat is solid and Demi Lovato sounds pretty good, this is just a bit forgettable. That's all.
For only the second time, I get to talk about Maisie Peters on here, her new song is called Audrey Hepburn. I kinda like this. Yeah, it is a bit slow, but Maisie Peters sounds pretty good and the song is in Bb major, so it is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me to like this one. I'm not complaining here.
And lastly, I need to talk about something less good. It's a collaboration between Eddie Benjamin and Shawn Mendes called Home, and this is mediocre at best. They both sound fine, but it is relatively slow with not a lot of production backing it and it isn't in a key where I'm likely to like songs in. This should've been a lot better.
We lost Yes Baby (as previously mentioned), Here All Night (as previously mentioned), Love Song, City Walls, Where Is My Husband, and Something In The Heavens. I'm honestly not going to miss any of these, the last one in particular was quite bad.
Blurbs:
Our exits were What I Want and Jump. What I Want had been here for a decent bit and it was getting to be time for that to go, and Jump had the run I was expecting it to have, so while I liked both songs, I'm fine with them leaving.
I was expecting Not Ok to jump a bit more since it's the first 5sos song in a minute, but ok.
Yup, of course First Original Thought jumped huge since their Alessi Rose standom is too high right now.
Yeah, Daisies definitely can't decide what to do.
Vodka Cranberry finally made the top 15.
Looks like Love Me Not is on its way out.
As expected, The Dead Dance is now in the top 10.
Was not expecting Camera to jump as huge as it did, but I'm obviously very happy about that.
And, of course, Tears has now hit #1. I'm fine with this for now, since it is better than most Sabrina Carpenter songs I've heard lately, and she is set to host SNL soon. But I would greatly prefer if this song isn't #1 for too long, and I'm late enough on this to know that this does hold on to the #1 spot next week, I'll talk more about that in the post for that.
I guess that does it for me today, see you guys in my next post.
