Our first debut this week was #1 on the hot 100 at the time of its debut, this is Choosin Texas by Ella Langley. This is quite good. Ella Langley sounds really good and it has a solid beat to it. Glad this is becoming as much of a hit as it is, and hopefully, it has the same success on Hits 1.
I was also hoping this would make the countdown, it's Stateside by PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson. This is pretty fun. Both of them sound pretty good on here and the beat is rather fun. Glad this collab exists.
Lastly, Sombr replaces himself with Homewrecker. This is among the better songs I've heard from him, though it still sounds like some of his other songs. I also still like his voice here. So yeah, good song.
Hitbound:
Stella Lefty- Thinking Bout You
Knox- Go For Broke (Debut)
Bella Kay- ILoveItILoveItILoveIt (Debut)
Zayn- Die For Me
Maisie Peters- My Regards
Paul Russell- High Maintenance
Tiffany Stringer- Bullet (Debut)
Bebe Rexha- I Like You Better Than Me (Debut)
Myles Smith/ Niall Horan- Drive Safe
Sienna Spiro- You Stole The Show
Meghan Trainor- Get In Girl (Debut)
Jordi- Over Love
Forrest Frank- Thankful (Debut)
Holly Humberstone- To Love Somebody
Ice Spice- Big Guy
Joji- Hotel California
First up, we have a new song from Knox called Go For Broke. This is exactly what I've come to expect from him, which is a banger. It has such a fun beat and Knox once again sounds really good here. I'll happily take this.
Though next up, we have newcomer Bella Kay with her song ILoveItILoveItILoveIt. Jeez, maybe put spaces in such a fucking repetitive song title. As for the song itself, this is just decent at best. It's forgettable as hell but I do remember she sounded pretty good on it. I don't even know how many weeks this will be on for.
Thankfully, we have a much better song from a random newcomer up next, it's Kidz Bop alum Tiffany Stringer with her song Bullet. And yes, this is really good. This is a country song, and an upbeat one, might I add, and Tiffany Stringer sounds pretty good here. I'm glad they ended up finding this.
After almost three years, we have new Bebe Rexha music, this is called I Like You Better Than Me. This is good. It has a solid enough beat and she sounds pretty good, this just feels a little bit forgettable. That's all.
Meghan Trainor also has new music out this week, this is called Get In Girl. I also like this one a decent bit. It also feels rather fun, and Meghan Trainor sounds pretty good here. Solid banger.
And to cap off our list of debuts, we have Forrest Frank's second solo song on here after Up with Connor Price from a couple years ago, this is called Thankful. With the Surfaces, he makes rather fun music, but as a solo artist, he does Christian music, which is not exactly my thing. Up didn't feel like that, but this certainly does. It's not all that bad though, this does have a decent enough beat ad Forrest Frank sounds pretty good, but this belongs in a church more than it does pop radio. That's all.
We lost Imposter, Bad Enough, Tiptoeing, and Blue Valentine. I'm not exactly going to miss any of these except maybe the last one.
Blurbs:
Our exits were Lover Girl, Changing, and Back To Friends. I was ready for Lover Girl to leave as of recently, I thought Changing would last a little bit longer and wasn't exactly ready for it to leave just yet, and it was definitely time for Back To Friends to go.
I'm fine with The Great Divide jumping off the debut.
So... Folded is just now entering the top 20?
Could Die On This Hill and Aperture just stop jumping already?
When Did You Get Hot's run is starting off as predicted, and here, that's a good thing.
And yet again, Taylor Swift is #1. This is now the third consecutive time she has replaced herself at #1, and this really needs to find, it's getting rather hard these days to find a Taylor Swift picture and make sure I haven't already used it. So I would like to use a picture of someone else soon...
I guess that does it for me in this post, see you guys in the next one.
