#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Tanner Massey- Choke

Four debuts this week, starting with Save My Love by Kygo, Gryffin (who makes his first ever appearance on the countdown), and Khalid. This is really good. The production from Kygo and Gryffin is extremely on point and Khalid sounds quite good here. I also think the drop here fits the song rather well. Hopefully, this spends more than one week on the countdown.

We have another fun song up next, it's Damn I Love Miami by Pitbull and Lil Jon. Wow, this is fire. Lil Jon's production and ad-libs go really well here and Pitbull sounds quite good here per usual. Plus, I like the lyrics to this, I'd say that they are the opposite of those of Miami by Morgan Wallen, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross from last year. Yeah, surprisingly good song.

We do have one not so great debut this week, it's A Couple Minutes by Olivia Dean. Ant the reasons this isn't so great are that it's a bit too slow and while she sounds fine, the backing vocals are way too distracting and don't make the song all that friendly for pop radio. I don't know, she has improved since Nice To Each Other, but this ain't it.

Lastly, after Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show, he is now here for the first time since I Like It with Cardi B and J Balvin from 2018 (although his and J Balvin's verses were edited out), this is called DTMF. I usually like Bad Bunny's music, and this is no exception. It has a catchy reggaeton beat and Bad Bunny sounds quite good over it. So yeah, good to see Bad Bunny on the countdown.

Hitbound:
Mckayla Twiggs- What A Girl Wants
Alex Warren- Fever Dream (Debut)
Bebe Rexha- I Like You Better Than Me
NF- Fear (Re-entry)
Bruno Mars- Risk It All (Debut)
Tiffany Stringer- Bullet
Raye- Nightingale Lane (Debut)
Charli XCX- Dying For You
FlowerOvLove- Casual Lady
Dominic Fike- Babydoll (Debut)
Laufey- How I Get (Debut)
Twenty One Pilots- Drag Path
Blackpink- Go (Debut)
Bella Kay- ILoveItILoveItILoveIt
Knox- Go For Broke
Holly Humberstone- To Love Somebody

First up, we have a new song from Alex Warren called Fever Dream. I really like this one. The beat is really catchy, honestly catchier than his usual songs, and he sounds quite good here per usual. Also, I like the lyrics, they are apparently about he felt when he first met his wife, and that makes it a bit relatable to me, as it's how I feel about one of my across the street neighbors right now. Glad I heard this.

Fear by NF re-entered. A bit random, but I'll take it.

Bruno Mars dropped The Romantic, and from it, we have Risk It All. I'm not entirely feeling this at the moment. It starts out pretty slow and then picks up a bit in the second verse, and then the production almost sounds salsa-esque by the bridge. Bruno Mars sounds fine enough to keep the song tolerable. I definitely prefer I Just Might over this though.

Oh god, more Raye. She's now here with Nightingale. This is interesting. It feels like a cross between a jazz song and an R&B song, interesting pairing, I might add. This dpes feel a bit slow, but Raye sounds pretty good, except at some point during the bridge where she sounds like an opera singer. Overall, this isn't bad.

Next up, we have a song from Dominic Fike's 2018 EP (the same one that spawned 3 Nights) that is going viral called Babydoll. Ok, this is quite good. This has a rather fun beat and Dominic Fike sounds pretty good here per usual. Fun song.

Our next song is from Laufey, this is called How I Get. I'm definitely not feeling this one. This has a relatively slow tempo and the melodies are decent at best, at least Laufey doesn't sound all that haunted this time around. I hope I'll eventually hear a good song from her.

Lastly, we have a new song from Blackpink called Go. This is honestly quite fun. The beat goes extremely hard, it almost sounds like dubstep at a couple points in the song and all four of them sound quite good here. Such a banger.

We lost Thinking Bout You, You Stole The Show, Get In Girl, My Regards, Die For Me, and How It's Done. I'm definitely fine with the first two leaving, especially You Stole The Show. Get In Girl was solid, but I never fully expected it to do anything, and same goes for My Regards and Die For Me. And I'm not sure what the point of adding How It's Done way too late was if it was only going to last one week.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Golden, Man I Need, Yukon, and Internet Girl. Golden lasted way too long and needed to leave, and Man I Need also lasted a decent bit of time. Yukon spent way too much time in the bottom 5 and only moved a few times, so it makes sense that that is gone. Lastly, Internet Girl should have lasted a bit longer.

Great seeing Roommates and Drive Safe jumping four spots off the debuts.

Also great seeing Choosin Texas's upward momentum continue.

So Easy (To Fall In Love) is finally in the top 10.

And after 13 consecutive weeks with Taylor Swift at #1, I Just Might has finally made the top spot. This is great to see, especially with this being the weekend of his album release. Hopefully, this lasts a few more weeks at #1 and bot The Fate Of Ophelia and Opalite make their way out soon.

I guess that does it for me in this post, see you guys in the next one.
