My Favorite Song Last Year: The Weeknd- Cry For Me
My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Twenty One Pilots- Overcompensate
Recommendations For Hits 1: Haven Madison- Uncross Your Heart and Mattie Pruitt- Hit The Road

Our first debut is Blackpink's latest, this is called Go. This is honestly quite fun. The beat goes extremely hard, it almost sounds like dubstep at a couple points in the song and all four of them sound quite good here. Such a banger.

Unfortunately, our next debut is nowhere near as good, this is Risk It All by Bruno Mars. I'm not entirely feeling this. It starts out pretty slow and then picks up a bit in the second verse, and then the production almost sounds salsa-esque by the bridge. Bruno Mars sounds fine enough to keep the song tolerable. I definitely prefer I Just Might over this though.

And then it gets a lot better, because up next, we have New Religion by Bebe Rexha and Faithless. This is rather fun. The beat from Faithless is super catchy and Bebe Rexha sounds quite good here. One of her best in a minute.

After a few weeks on Hitbound, Dying For You by Charli XCX makes its way on to the countdown. This is just good. It has a decent enough beat and she sounds pretty good, this is just way too forgettable. I feel like I should like this more, but I just find it good.

And we have to finish this on a low note, because our last debut is American Girls by Harry Styles, and how fitting that he has a song debut the countdown on the day of his SNL hosting stint. As for the song itself, of course I don't care for this in the slightest. It feels rather on the mysterious side and he sounds not so normal when he is singing in the lower register. I knew this would be bad, and I was right.

Hitbound:
FlowerOvLove- Casual Lady
Jack Harlow- Lonesome (Debut)
Mckayla Twiggs- What A Girl Wants
Sienna Spiro- The Visitor (Debut)
Bella Kay- ILoveItILoveItILoveIt
Knox- Go For Broke
Girlset- Tweak (Debut)
Pussycat Dolls- Club Song (Debut)
Maeve- Touch And Go
Twenty One Pilots- Drag Path
Kevnn C- You Won't Catch Me Crying (Debut)
Paul Russell- High Maintenance
Holly Humberstone- Cruel World (Debut)
Laufey- How I Get
Tiffany Stringer- Bullet
Raye- Nightingale Lane

Jack Harlow recently put out a new album, and from it, we have Lonesome. Apparently, this is an R&B type of album, and that is what this song sounds like. Though this is pretty good. The beat here is super catchy and Jack Harlow can sing rather solidly. I'm a bit surprised about how much I like this.

Oh god, more Sienna Spiro. She's back with The Visitor, and just like the last two songs she put out, this is completely ass. It's once again painfully slow and Sienna Spiro still doesn't sound all that great over the slower production and the lyrical content is similar to that of Die On This Hill and You Stole The Show... not a compliment at all. I really need a goddamn break from her after this.

I think we remember Girlset from Little Miss from the end of last year. Well, they're back with Tweak, and this is rather solid. The trap production here is really cool and all members sound really good over it, but we have a key change at the end that kind of threw me off. Other than that, this is fine.

After roughly 17 years, the Pussycat Dolls are back on Hits 1 with Club Song. Well, this is definitely worth the wait, because this is indeed a club song, this being a compliment and pun sort of intended. The production here is super fun and Nicole Scherzinger and all the others sound pretty good here. Glad they are back.

We now have a song from newcomer Kevnn C, it's called You Won't Catch Me Crying. This is a lot better than what I was expecting from this. It has an R&B type of production that, like Jack Harlow's song from earlier. Also, Kevnn C sounds pretty good here. I'll definitely take this.

Our last debut is a new song from Holly Humberstone called Cruel World, and she replaces herself this week. I may actually like this more than I do To Love Somebody. The production makes more sense here and Holly Humberstone once again sounds pretty good. So yeah, I'm glad Hits 1 is picking up on good songs of hers.

We lost To Love Somebody (as I sort of just mentioned) and Babydoll. To Love Somebody got replaced by a better Holly Humberstone song, and Babydoll was fun while it lasted.

Blurbs:
Our exits were Gut Punch, 12 To 12, Folded, Save My Love, and Fear. Gut Punch was really just good, so I'm fine with never seeing a whole lot of success. 12 To 12 is now the 3rd song to leave from #3, after Satellite and Please Please Please, I'm not complaining, it's been here for a rather long time. Folded was starting to fade on me, so I'm also fine with that leaving, and the last two should still be here.

Nooo why did Damn I Love Miami fall back to #29?

And, of course, Elizabeth Taylor jumped off its debut. Good news: So did Fever Dream.

Of course the best Sabrina Carpenter song in recent years probably will be the first since Nonsense not to hit #1.

The Great Divide jumped to just outside the top 10. Hopefully it continues climbing.

So Easy (To Fall In Love) and Homewrecker are now in the top 5. I'd be fine with either of these hitting #1 soon.

I guess that does it for me in this post, see you guys in the next one.
