Catch up post from the last three weeks

Oh shit. I'm three weeks behind. I started to get behind after a family vacation a few weeks ago and I had two super crucial exams last week, so now I'm doing a catch up post for the first time since I went to Europe three years ago, so this will look the same as the one I did back then. Let's just get into it:

Countdown debuts:
Dominic Fike- Babydoll
Niall Horan- Dinner Party
Bella Kay- ILoveItILoveItILoveIt
BTS- Swim
Sienna Spiro- The Visitor
Miley Cyrus- Younger You

I'm glad Babydoll made its way out of the abyss as it is super good, and I don't care that it's originally from his 2018 EP.

Niall Horan has a new album coming out, and this lead single, Dinner Party, is about how he met his wife... so yes, this is indeed rather good.

My opinion on ILoveItILoveItILoveIt is the same as before, except I feel like it's growing on me at the moment.

BTS are back as a group for the first time in a really long time, and Swim is a solid excuse for their comeback single.

The Visitor is just as boring as Sienna Spiro's last two songs on here.

I never got into Hannah Montana back in the day, but Miley Cyrus put out Younger You for the 20th anniversary of that, and this is also pretty boring, but Miley Cyrus's voice kind of saves it.

Countdown exits:
Pitbull/ Lil Jon- Damn I Love Miami
Bad Bunny- DTMF
Charli XCX- Dying For You
David Guetta/ Teddy Swims/ Tones And I- Gone Gone Gone
Benson Boone- Mr Electric Blue
Taylor Swift- The Fate Of Ophelia

Damn I Love Miami and DTMF should both still be here.

On the other hand, I don't mind that Dying For You only lasted three weeks.

Gone Gone Gone, Mr Electric Blue, and The Fate Of Ophelia all lasted really long on here and it was time for them to go, and especially good riddance to The Fate Of Ophelia which deserved no success whatsoever.

HB debuts:
Cody Simpson- Baby Blue
The Cab- Back From The Dead
Raye/ Hans Zimmer- Click Clack Symphony
Vella- Dance Without You
Lizzo- Don't Make Me Love U
Casey Lee Williams/ Andrew Kierszenbaum- Fire For Me
Monsta X- Heal
Raye- I Know You're Hurting
OneRepublic- Need Your Love
Charlie Puth- Reply To This
Ravyn Lenae/ Dominic Fike- Reputation
Charlie Puth/ Coco Jones- Sideways
Zayn- Sideways
Conan Gray- The Best
Melanie Martinez- Uncanny Valley
Mckayla Twiggs- When Did You Get So Hot

Baby Blue is rather catchy and a solid return for Cody Simpson, who hasn't been seen on Hits 1 since 2015.

It's quite iconic to see The Cab back when this song, Back From The Dead, is a fire banger.

Click Clack Symphony is rather interesting with this instrumentation that Hans Zimmer arranged.

Dance Without You is easily a step up from All My Love, Vella's song from last year.

Don't Make Me Love U is just good, it could have been in a different key.

Fire For Me is surprisingly good for me having not heard of either artist before.

I've definitely heard better Monsta X songs than Heal, but it's good to hear from them again.

I Know You're Hurting is a bit too slow and long for my liking, but it's definitely not as annoying as Escapism.

Need Your Love is easily OneRepublic's best song in a minute.

Reply To This reminds me of another Charlie Puth song, How Long. Here, that's a good thing.

Reputation is super sweet and both of them have solid chemistry.

Charlie Puth and Coco Jones' Sideways could have been a bit more upbeat.

Same goes for Zayn's song of the same title, but the key there is tolerable.

The Best, which is the only song here that Daniel added to HOF, is also on the slower side, I know Conan Gray has done better.

Uncanny Valley is a bit of a step up from Void, the verses remind me a bit of the hook of Sad by XXXTentacion, which I actually liked, so that's a good thing.

When Did You Get So Hot is a step up from What A Girl Wants, but I still prefer Sabrina Carpenter's song of a similar title.

HB dropouts:
Tiffany Stringer- Bullet
FlowerOvLove- Casual Lady
Vella- Dance Without You
Lizzo- Don't Make Me Love You
Twenty One Pilots- Drag Path
Knox- Go For Broke
Paul Russell- High Maintenance
Laufey- How I Get
Raye- I Know You're Hurting
Jack Harlow- Lonesome
Raye- Nightingale Lane
Charlie Puth/ Coco Jones- Sideways
Mckayla Twiggs- What A Girl Wants
Kevnn C- You Won't Catch Me Crying

Bullet probably should've made the countdown.

Casual Lady was rather interesting for what it was.

As much as I liked Dance Without You, I didn't see it doing a whole lot.

I didn't really expect Don't Make Me Love You to do anything either.

Drag Path is currently in the abyss, and I'd prefer it didn't debut.

Go For Broke and High Maintenance were fun songs that deserved better.

Whereas How I Get and I Know You're Hurting were both rather boring.

Lonesome was really good for what it was.

I've honestly forgotten what Nightingale Lane sounds like.

Both What A Girl Wants Charlie Puth's Sideways were replaced by better songs from the artists.

You Won't Catch Me Crying was rather fun.

Notable Movements:
I Just Might was #1 for all three weeks I missed. Though I will point out that Hits 1 switched to the Jennie remix of Dracula, which I don't like as much as I do the original, it's still pretty good though. That type of song is made more for Tame Impala's vocals than Jennie's.

That does it for me here, see you guys in my next post, which is hopefully not too late.
