Our first debut comes from Gracie Abrams, this is called Hit The Wall. This one is really good. It has a solid beat to it and Gracie Abrams sounds pretty good here per usual. Good to see her back.
Oh thank god I didn't have to wait too long to talk about this next song. It's a collaboration between Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran called Repeat It, and wow, this is amazing, it could easily go top 5 on my best list at the end of the year. The vibe of this just works, it reminds me a lot of Drifting Away by Audien and Joe Jury from 2022, so of course Martin Garrix's production on this is just outstanding and Ed Sheeran sounds really good, plus the lyrics on this make it one of the best love songs I've heard in recent memory. So yeah, amazing song, I hope it eventually makes the countdown.
Looks like MGK and Wiz Khalifa are doing a collab album, and the first single from it is on here, this is called Girl Next Door. This is also pretty good. Both of them do a great job here and the production on this gives off Empire Of The Sun vibes, so this makes sense since Wiz Khalifa has actually collaborated with them before. The lyrics on this are relatable for me as well, due to various girls I've lived next to or across the street from over the past two years. I may have to check out this collab album if the rest of the songs on it will be like this.
Umm... so Drake dropped not one, not two, but THREE albums, so I'm kind of relieved that I don't cover the Hot 100 as if I did, I'd have to cover every song on all three albums, so I'll feel bad for Mark from Billboard Breakdown once all those songs debut the hot 100. Thankfully, since I cover Hits 1, I only need to talk about one Drake song, this is called 2 Hard 4 The Radio, and it was on the main album, Iceman. And this is actually pretty good. The production is pretty catchy, and Drake once again has solid flow. I'll take this for now.
Our last debut is Kevin Jonas's second solo song, this is called Little Things. This is good, though not as good as Changing. It is a little bit more on the slower side but has a decent enough beat, and Kevin Jonas sounds pretty good here. So for the most part, I will take this on here.
We lost Fine Place To Die, Little More Time, Lovergirl, Hold Me In The Dark, and Born To Die. The first two are in the abyss, so who knows what will happen to them. I'm fine with Lovergirl only lasting one week, and the last two really should have debuted.
Blurbs:
Welp, there goes When Did You Get Hot's chances of going #1. Why did this have to be the one Sabrina Carpenter song from this era that wasn't #1?
At least Where Is My Husband also seems to be on its way out.
Why the fuck did Elizabeth Taylor jump all the way to #3? We really didn't need this. It's going to go #1, isn't it?
I guess that does it for me in this post, see you guys in the next one.
