Last Year's #1: Alex Warren/ Rosé- On My Mind
My Favorite Song Two Years Ago: Crash Adams- Hotel Party
Recommendations For Hits 1: Away With Words- Spiderwebs and Erin LeCount- The Cinema
So of course, we have yet another presumed non-single from Sabrina Carpenter's Man's Best Friend album, this is called House Tour. This is better than a lot of the Man's Best Friend song, but definitely not better than When Did You Get Hot. It has an interesting enough beat and she sounds pretty good, this one just feels rather on the forgettable side. This could grow on me the longer it stays and higher it gets.
Benson Boone is also back on the countdown with his new song The Time Of My Life. Yes, it's on the slower side, but it is in a key that I can tolerate and Benson Boone sounds pretty good, plus, there's somewhat of a beat here. I'll take this.
Our last debut is Sombr's latest, My Body Isn't Ready. This might be his best song thus far. It gives off a completely different feel than what I'm used to from him, and the lyrics feel like this is about not being ready to commit to a relationship. So, great job here.
Hitbound:
Ravyn Lenae- Saturday Night
Gracie Abrams- Look At My Life
The Kid Laroi/ Kehlani- Girls
Sienna Spiro- Great Expectation (Debut)
Stella Lefty- Good At leaving (Debut)
Akon- Ringtone
Olivia Rodrigo- Stupid Song
Slayyter- Dance
Tyla- Is It Love
Ethan Burdick- Hold You
Alyssa Grace- Bloodstream
Don Toliver- E85
Charli XCX- Wink Wink
Marshmello/ Kelsea Ballerini- Another Drink
Le Sserafim/ Illit/ Katseye- Iconic By Mistake
Knox- Long Story Short
Well, we only have two debuts this, which I'd normally be relieved about, unfortunately, one of the debuts is from Sienna Spiro, this is called Great Expectation. I'll give it this, it's better than shit like Die On This Hill, You Stole The Show, or The Visitor, but still on the slow side, unlike Material Lover. Sienna Spiro also sounds fine, and this is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. I'd still prefer if it flopped though.
Our other debut is from Stella Lefty, this is called Good At Leaving. This is good. It is definitely on the upbeat side and she sounds pretty good here, this currently feels a bit on the forgettable side. Nothing wrong with it though.
No dropouts this week.
Blurbs:
Our exits were The Great Divide, She Did It Again, and American Girls. The Great Divide was getting old and it was time for that to leave. I wish She Did It Again had lasted longer and peaked higher, and I'm glad Harry Styles's new album still has yet to yield a #1 with American Girls leaving without doing so.
Umm... why did Edge Of The Earth drop all the way to the bottom of the countdown on week 2?
Good to see Earrings, Heaven, and Sexy For Me jumping.
Yeah, Repeat It didn't need to drop off the debut. It's going to get fucked over, isn't it?
I guess Stateside is on its way out.
Yeah, I'm definitely fine with Tastes So Good in the top 20.
Can Bring Your Love pick where to lurk already?
All right, I'll take The Cure in the top 10.
Great, I Knew It I Knew You continued jumping after last week. I can tell this will eventually hit #1, and I'd prefer Mr Know It All got there first.
I gues that does it for me in this post, see you guys in the next one.
