Only two debuts this week, first up is a song from Stella Lefty's new album called Summer You Were Mine. This is actually pretty good. The production here is a little bit on the chill side, with the lyrics being about reflection on a summertime relationship, as the title suggests. Plus, she sounds pretty good per usual. I'll take this.

For our other debut, we have longtime Hunter plant Lexi Jayde making her Hits 1 debut with Misunderstood. This is better than I was anticipating it to be. It's on the slower side but has an interesting enough beat, honestly one that I could envision Alex Warren singing over given the key it's in. It's a breakup song, and Mikey Piff said this was likely about an actual breakup that Lexi Jayde went through. Yeah, super good song.

We lost Lean In Kiss Me and Camera. Lean In Kiss Me was replaced by a better Stella Lefty song and I was never completely sold on Camera.

Blurbs:

Our only exit was Bloodstream. I'm fine with this leaving, it just never clicked.

I don't know why Been By Now had to drop off the jump.

We seriously don't need A Couple Minutes to be a thing again.

Though it is good to see Animal starting to get the recognition it deserves.

Looks like Dracula unfortunately won't hit #1.

Drop Dead is finally on its way out.

And speaking of Olivia Rodrigo songs, The Cure jumped 8 spots to #1. I feel like this is growing on me, so I'm currently fine with this being #1. But I feel like it could get annoying since we haven't had a lot of #1 songs this year, but we shall see.
